LF: Plain simple cordless telephone for audio quality

I've tried many cordless phones over the years and audio quality seems to be hit and miss. Sometimes a cheap one sound great and sometimes even the expensive ones sound awful. Are there any plain and simple 5.8ghz cordless phones out there that are cheap and sound decent? Heck the thing doesn't even have to have call display. All i want is to be able to hold a conversation with clarity. IT would be great if some store had any around the $39 mark. I know XSCargo does but since they don't have a return policy i don't want to resort to that yet.

My 2.4ghz phones have issues with my router which is why i need a new one.
