i'm looking for some sad classical songs.. something that strikes the heart. I'm leaning towards piano or the violin. Does anyone have any favorite classical songs that sounds depressing?

You're better off looking for game/anime soundtracks.

Lots of sad sounding classicalesque stuff.

Sad make you cry sad?

Chopin - Nocturne no.19
Rachmaninov - Vocalise

There's another Chopin, and I can't think of the name....argh

if you've ever seen platoon, you'll know that barber's adagio for strings is a tearjerker--it was also overused in lorenzo's oil
