Not really. If you go in and say I want this item but I want the best price. If you get the right salesperson they will look into their book and tell you what promos and prices will be for the next month. I usually wait for the best price or double sears club points deals. They will allow you to purchase the item and price adjust it when the sale comes on within 30 days. My experience with Sears Home for furniture has been good.

That's been my experience as well. Got a free crappy mirror once though, when I was buying a couch. :)
Otherwise I try to split orders up if possible, and use any promos possible. I.E. $20 off $100, etc.

Everything is negotiable, like sears they have commisioned emplyees to assist you, don't expect crazy discounts but you should be able to save at least the taxes on furniture item ( expect little to no discounts on low end crap items)

Yes, furniture and appliances can be negotiated but not as much as the bigger specialty stores.
