Yes, they are a well known brand in the cycling industry. Not at the top, but still very reputable. I don't know the specific model.

If you want a bike brand that will give you very good value and components for your money, go with Ironhorse.

I agree and disagree.
Ironhorse will mostly give you good components, but there is no value buying from them because their bikes are way overpriced. Walk into a LBS (local bike shop) and there's a 99% chance you won't see any Ironhorse bikes for sale. Walk into a SportChek and Ironhorse is probably the best brand you'll find in there. LBS'es are dedicated to bikes, SportChek's not. I think you should have figured out which option is better by now .
Unless there was a sick clearance deal on Ironhorse bikes, I wouldn't even consider looking at them.

Sportchek is one of two exclusive distributors of Iron Horse bikes in Canada. That's why you don't see them in LBS. It's a fairly popular brand in the US though.

Jamis bikes are great - I ride a Jamis Coda myself. No problems with it, and it's a very versatile bike...
It depends on what the deal is though. Those are lower end Jamis models...

jamis is known for value, and i would place them above ironhorse, thanks to the image that theyve given me from their sportchek dealings.
i once had a deal on an 05 jamis dakar xc expert for $1700, and this was over a year ago. i didnt take it, and i feel sort of bad now.

Which post are you refering to?
If it is mine then the 2007 Exile 29er SS lists for 999 american. I was probably going to get in the states or see if there are any closeout deals at the bike show or at the dealers at the end of the year.
