So, I discovered a rust dot (best way I can describe it) close to the trunk of my car underneath where the spoiler overlaps and never gets cleaned as a result :o
I got one of those diamond lifetime rust protection thingy from Honda. I hope someone that works for a Honda dealership can answer this. If I ask Honda to do something about that rust dot. Will they fix it under the lifetime rust protection package I bought years ago?
I don't think I can find those documentation on my rust proofing package anymore but they know I have this package and I ask them to do a rust check every year.
Thanks!

they should cover it if it's not because of stone chips but judging from the fact that it's in the rear, it should be okay. it also helps if you are nice to those guys at the dealership and not try to pass off to be a prick. my ex girlfriend had similar rust spots on the back in the trunk area but she also had a lot of stone chips on the front. we were really nice to him and as a result, he offered to repaint the back as well as the front. he even replaced the honda sign which was ripped off in the front and the back.

If you purchased rust protection from a dealer, you usually need to take it back annually for an inspecton in order to maintain the warranty. If you haven't done this, you may be out of luck.

Any and all rust "proofing" is for perforations from the inside. I have never seen any that will cover surface rust. By all means, try and get it repaired but chances are that the dealer will (as a courtesy only and only if you have been a regular customer) try to wipe it off and may even use a small touch up brush, but don't expect much.
Oh, and Diamond Coat, if that is what you are saying, is a permanent paint shine product for the paint, not rust (permanent only if you have faithfully done the yearly maintenance re-touch up).

Thanks for all the input!
So all they do is wipe it and put some touch up paint? Does this stop the rust from spreading? I am pretty sure it is not a diamond paint protection. I do have a diamond sticker on my windshield, I think thats some kinda of rust proof product. Should I be very concern with this tiny rust spot? I don't plan to do anything until my next maintenance schedule which is in Sept.

If you have up kept the annual inspection and depending on the package you purchased, it may even cover the surface rust.
Also if it is covered, it shouldn't just be a touchup, but a resurface.
Not all Rust Protection Packages are the same.

is the rust inspection every year or every 2 years or does it depend on the company and the package?

Your info package's fine print will tell you what you did not do to void the warranty (I say this because your question just indicates you have done nothing).
All packages are different but as I said earlier, if you only have paint protection (which is a glorified silicone wax job) not rust protection.
What exact protection is it I am not familiar with a "diamond" logo unless it is Diamond Kote. Besides, surface rust is never covered and if it is coming from under the spoiler mount, well, good luck with your fight with the dealer.

Never say never.. there is a surface rust warranty available at some dealers. but I know that Diamond Kote doesn't offer one.

I'm not really sure. I think I lost the document during many house moving in the past. I keep forgetting to take a better look at that logo :o .
How much would it cost to have a third party shop to repair/fix the rust spot? Do I even have to worry about it so much?

It would be a labour only job so whatever the hourly rate would be. Make sure you have a touch up pen or paint from the dealer and they can use it.
You can try and unscrew the spoiler yourself and clean it up and do the touch up. (2 screws on each side of the spoiler are in the trunk and, make sure you don't break the wires for the third brake light) I know not everyone is comfortable with doing it yourself but it should be fairly easy and straight forward. The only thing will be to loosen the screws, some gorilla could have installed them.
