Marshall Mathers/EMINEM is favorite Rapper and overall Artist, The Marshall Mathers LP is the best IMO. The only artist that I spent money and actually bought the CD's (Albums).
I have like over two dozen favorites but here's...
My Top 5.
1. Drug Ballad
2. Lose Yourself
3. Sing for the Moment
4. 8 Mile

Ive found that 'rappers' nowadays/modern ones swear to fill in the gaps where they cant think of anything. If you look to the 90s, there were better rappers than Eminem who swore very little or didnt swear to make rap that made sense. Here's a few I can think of:
Coolio
Eazy-E
Grandmaster Flash
Beastie Boys
Public Enemy
Eric B & Rakim

my favourite rapper too but he's falling off as of late...he's coming out with a new album this year (www.kingmathers.com) so i guess that will truely tell if he's actually fallen off....i guess since everything is fine in his life now, he doesnt have anything to rap about:cry:

you cant say you're a true eminem fan without having at least 1 song from Infinite on that list. Infinite is undoubtedly his best album. peep that album then come post back, you wont be disappointed ;)

no apologies was 2 old freestyle verses with 1 new written verse put on a new beat, which is why its so reminiscent of the old eminem

What has Dr Dre done since Chronic? All he does now is produce albums instead releasing is own stuff. I've been waiting for 7 years for Detox to be released.
Snoop is my personal favorite rapper but he is not better than Eminem.

Nope, NOT MANY RAPPERS ARE AS LYRICALLY TALENTED AS EMINEM. He was true talent. If you havent already.... peep INFINITE, THEN comment on his lyrical talent. Otherwise you're just missing out on one very amazing album. I've had it on my mp3 player for the past few years (it was released in 1996) and im yet to get tired of it. His rhymes are just too fresh, with matching dope beats. Truly an east side style of rhyming, but distinctly detroit (ehehe, cuz essentially, he made the sound).
eminem is in my top 3 rappers
Eminem, Nas and Big.

anyone else notice that when Em is on a song with 50, 50 raps better? im pretty sure eminem writes 50's lyrics or at least fixes them up lol

It's been downhill since the Marshall Mathers LP
He needs to take a step back from the production and focus on spittin rhymes.

What spurned this thread? I'm curious cause Eminem hasn't been in the news for quite a while and he hasn't had new music out for the longest time
