B&D are decent quality. We picked up the toaster oven.

Thanks, am interested in the blender, but:

1. What is the "rebate" ? Is this a mail-in rebate ?
2. It says 20% coupon valid for sale items, and then the description says no coupons, what gives ?

This is the front page of their latest flier. They mention that there is a 20% discount on the back page.

For the B&D items, the coupons do not apply.

It's a l'n't mail-in rebate. It's a PO BOx in Windsor but the small writing says that if you include your e-mail addy on the form you are consenting to lnt using is for 'promotions'.

I think each item varies in price before MIR since the rebate is "up to" $30. I bought a coffee maker earlier this year on the same promo and paid 56.99 before MIR.

Then I sent the rebate form and never got my rebate - called LNT and they said the UPC didn't qualify for the rebate so I had to go back to the store who emailed their US office and was told to wait another 6-8 weeks....still waiting!!

Here are the prices (http://canada.lnt.com/searchHandler/index.jsp?searchId=2794264&type=trigger&promoId=2794264) before rebate.

I'd just like to add that I've had the blender & duster for over 3 years now... still going strong..

Note that tax is applied on the prices before rebate.. so after $30MIR, it's $26.49 here in BC, not $19.99.

Tax is always a factor. Places never advertise the actual price after rebate. They simply use their retail price less the actual rebate amount.

I don't think anyone in Canada will be paying $19.99 after rebate, as you technically point out.
