I'm looking at a 2000 Acura Integra GS, fully loaded, cloth seats, 5 spd....110 K...power windows go down slowly....the interior is in very good condition...the paint on the outside is average-above average. tires are okay.

the black book value ranges from $5817-$7317. The autotrader shows that there aren't too many GSs for sale and SEs are going around $8000-9000.

my mechanic is checking it out tomorrow.

its private and the seller wants $9600...i'm thinking of 9000...is that a fair price? over paying?

any integra owners have any tips on what to look for? stuff to watch out for?

Seems like a good deal, Integra's are solid, built in japan, and have the best re-sale value.

Good price for an Integra. Solid 1.8 engine! I drive one and I wouldn't trade it with anything else! Although mind you, you can buy even a little older one and it will perform the same. I have seen older GSR's go for around $7gz. There's one on sale on torontointegras.ca

A good car. Had a 1994 GSR model and sold in 2003 for $6500 with 250k while others were asking for $9000 range at the time. Solid car with no problems. Still have to check how the driver keep the car.

Check if it's noisy. Check the clutch for 5 spd. Condition of the clutch shows if he race a lot or not. You probably won't be able to feel the clutch difference as my 1994 model year already has self-adjusted cluch.

Check the underbody to see if the frame is OK. Any weld frame or new paint after accident.

We have a 1994 with 261k and its been VERY good. Some of the wear and tear items obviously went but the engine it self has been going strong.

My last three gas tanks (which were mostly highway) averaged below 8L/100km.

Just make sure you have a good anti-theft system. One of the easiest cars to steal. *cough* check insurance before you buy *cough*

do you mean GS-R? otherwise i dont see anything special with a Integra GS, for the same price range you can buy a turbo 97-99 Eclipse, Celica
