I admit, it's one of my guilty pleasures! With summer TV so bland, this spices up our family room!! ;)

Anyone else watching it?

Los Angeles, July 5, 2007(CBS) The "Big Brother 8" house is abuzz now that the houseguests have learned that among their fellow contestants are people they hoped never to see again. Will the fur fly? Will fences be mended? Who will be the first houseguest to be evicted? Stay tuned!

And, in a second twist, viewers will have an important role in "BB8": they'll be voting online to manipulate the actions of one of the houseguests. Will "BB8" fans be cruel or kind to the poor houseguest under their control?

And what's up with the newly-remodeled house? Producer Allison Grodner gave Julie Chen a tour of the topsy-turvy, whimsically-themed living space that will leave some houseguests feeling, literally, like they're on top of the world while others will be cut down to size, for real.

The 14 new houseguests are from all over the country, from all walks of life. There are young execs on the rise, a cocktail waitress, a school counselor, a student, a shoe salesman, a nanny — even a former pro football player. Oh, and they all think they have a winning strategy that will put them in the final two. You can meet them here and here.

yeah i've watched since season 1 too. I was looking to see if there was any way to watch that After Dark show that is on every night, but apparently it's only available in the US... don't think i could watch 3 hours of BB every night anyway. LOL

You can get it on eztv, the showtime stuff that is. I thought a lot of it was boring, but some of it was interesting as well. I just had it on in the background while doing other things and paid attention when interesting things happened.

Hopefully this season will be good...last years all stars was hilarious. Dr. Drew and Mike Boogie always had me in stitches.

And yeah, the after dark stuff can be had off of torrent sites..but its been a snore so far. No nudity but just a bunch of profanity.

Ive been checkin in and out of UK Big Brother as well. This week is actually cool because theyre going to put a bird in the house that is supposedly from Australias BB, but shes really an actress from the UK!

On top of that, the person that gets evicted this week will not know this but they will be out and then put back in the house as soon as theyre evicted - but not before spilling the beans on his/her housemates (while the housemates inside watch the interview) Now that is drama.

I watched AfterDark...and yawn, I think I won't bother with those. I prefer the pieced together version during the week!

Although watching Daniele has made me come to the conclusion she's suffering from anorexia. She seems overly conscious of covering herself. Always checking herself ....just a feeling, kwim?

Kaysar's "strategy", or lacktherof, last season was so lame. He wasn't the fierce competitor he was on BB6, but more of a wuss in all stars. Oh and let's not forget how he trusted Jen in season 6 which led to him being double-crossed and evicted.

The house now hates her, was just watching the BB Afterdark show... Dustin wants her out, and so does everybody else, but not before Kail, Mike, Zack, Jen. She is sick right now too.

There's some stories that Mike was looking at Jessica's picture and saying "Unicorn, oh unicorn" meaning that she was something unattainable. Eric then went onto say that he's a molestor LOL.

The episodes make Jen look stupid, but she is seriously smarter than half the house.

Nick is such a loser. I swear to god he overexaterates EVERYTHING. Jen said something when everyone was sitting, how she took a picture of her crap, and everyone laughed, along with Nick. Dick said that he did the same thing and everybody laughed again. Nick goes inside tells Danielle that Jen is so weird because she took a picture of her crap. Yeah it is weird, but if youre gonna say something, talk about Dick too.

So this is what basically happens this week. Jen and Kail get put up. Jen wins POV after Kail CHOKES and i mean CHOKES at the POV. She lost after like 10 seconds. Jen takes herself off and now it is between Zack and Mike. The whole house keeps making fun of both of them. Dick, Nick, and Danielle are planning everything out, acting like they will win EVERYTHING from now until the end. W
The people controlling the cameras are HORNYY. Jen was wearing a towel, and they followed her for 2-5 minutes while she got her underwear and then still kept the camera on the door to a stall to change. They zoom in real close and go from Toe to Head. When Danielle was taking a shower, they went from toe to head again, but all you could see where feet and her head.

And something interesting. We were talking about how everyone is not a regular person, but can be famous or known around the U.S. Some of these people did not even apply for Big Brother, but were recruited. I had no idea, but some of you may have. Big Brother wanted them and they accepted. Zack is saying that he had seen an ad on craigslist:confused: :confused: hen the houseguests started to get more into the subject, the screen just went to the main control center and a guy was there smiling and waving his arms in the air. It was like they were trying to hide something.

So this is what basically happened today, Dick is now on the negative side of almost everybody in the house.

Nick had asked him for the key to the HOH room because he wanted to go and just listen to music by himself. He said okay, and gave it to him. Nick went up, and then Dustin came in. A few minutes later, Jen and Zach came in too. Dick was washing or drying the dishes or something, I dont know and he was watching or something. Dustin came out, and Nick, Jen, and Zach sat in the HOH room for 15 minutes, with complete silence. Nick was listening to music, Zach was sitting there with his eyes closed, and Jen was doing whatever. Nick asked them to leave because he just wanted to be alone and listen to music. When those two left, Dick seen them and just snapped. He went up, and kicked Nick out. They got into a huge argument, swearing at each other. Dick said that he thinks Jen, Zach and Nick are in an alliance and that is why he was in the HOH room. Nick told him that he wasnt scared of him and to f*ck off. Amber watched the whole thing. Surprise, surprse, she started to cry.

Dick then got mad or something because Amber started to cry and told other people that she is too emotional and should stop crying. He had a conversation with Amber telling her how to play the game. Amber looked all cool and quiet, but she was PISSED on the inside. For the whole day, she was talking to other people about how pissed she was at him and really did not care about him. Dick was acting like he knows the perfect game, he is playing it right, and everybody else is just wrong.

Well the whole experiment to fix his relationship with Danielle failed. He says that she has been acting like a ***** the whole time, not talking to him and not paying attention. She told him that he is making her a big target, and all the **** he does is going to her too. She says that when he burps and farts she feels disgusted and embarrassed, everyone looks at her. Dick says that her relationship with Nick is screwing his game up too, and then goes on to say its over. He says that he is not going to do the relationship thing with Danielle anymore and it's over. He later goes to her and says that he's not gonna try and fix their relationship, but if she wants to go to family counseling when they are out, he is all for it. But in the game, they are over.

Jemeka gets upset because she got a letter from her mom and it HAD to be read in front of everyone. She was being considerate because she felt like it was a slap in the face to everyone as they all missed their family and did not get letters. Her birthday should not be a perk.

Dustin got pissed at Dick too, but i forgot for what. It had to do with Jemeka.

Eric is well, Eric. He's the funny guy and rarely talks game with anyone. Real nice guy, tries to help everyone out. Nick called him shifty yesterday because of his shifty eyes. Not in front of him of course.

Yesterday, everyone was making fun of Zach's laugh. Not in front of him, but they all counted to three and did it together. Jen, Kail and Mike were not there. Nobody really likes Zach in the house. Kail is trying to get him up (Jen won veto) so she could save her own ass.

Kail is one of the dumbest players in the game. She really needs help to get through.

Mike is probably one of the smartest players there are. He can read a situation so easily. Jen and Kail were talking about things while Mike was sleeping. He just got up and said "Do i need to spell this out for you" and made sense of everything. I think he made a bad decision joining the alliance on the first day, and is now stuck with Kail and Jen. Jen is smart however, and found a way to get off the block.

Jessica is liked by everyone. She's hot too, and the cameramen must think so too. They follow her wherever she goes. She was in a bikini today, and just walking around before going into the hot tub. The camera's were on her for at least 10 minutes.

I just want Dick out of here. The guy is so annoying. He thinks that he is playing a good game, and is trying to play the perfect game. Man, nobody can beat Will and Boogie. This guy's a joke. Amber doesnt like him anymore, same with Danielle, Nick, Dustin (I think so, talks nice to him but after he talked to him and Dick left, Dustin just said "Are you kidding me?") Kail doesnt like him, Jen doesnt like him, Mike doesnt like him and i dont think that Jameka likes how he is going around the house. But Jameka is like the nicest person in the house, does not show any negativity towards anyone.

I agree with all of that. I watched that youtube post that was just posted on here today and also downloaded and watched last nights After Dark episode... dick definately swears a hell of a lot, and amber definately cries even more than i thought.

As for the After Dark show... I'd say maybe an hour out of the 3 hours is actually worth watching... a lot of nothing going on half the time.

hmm seems like you missed/weren't paying attention to the last episode. He wanted nick to be voted out and he does hate him but he was forced to pick kail because he is America's player. Thats why there was that big confusion about hat extra vote for kail and Danielle and Dick put the clues together and found out it was him.

Jen didn't change sides just cuz she was buttered up. She changed sides firstly, to save Kail, secondly and most importantly, because it's in her best interests to get rid of Eric. She (as well as Jessica) were not stupid to believe what Dick and Danielle told them about Eric....they're right. He has been playing both sides, it's inherent in his conflicting role as America's Player as well as competitor who wants to win. WRT your reference to Dick lying, as all of them, of course they lie, how can you win this kind of game without lying? But what they told Jen and Jessica and others about Eric was true.

As an aside, I kind of like Dick's reasoning for appearing like a mean, nasty, argumentative person. He says what he feels, he says it to everyone ....the reason being, as he said, this tactic prevents the he-said, she-said crap. As he said, if he says it to everyone, he can't be accused of saying something he didn't say. That said, I do find him overly abrasive. There's a lot of negative stuff he rants about that serves no purpose and could simply be kept to himself.

Also, about tonight's show, I found that part where Jameka is praying and then Jen comes into the frame talking about insipid things related to the bunny costume SO hilarious! I LOL'd.

It looked like a complete lack of sensitivity to Jameka's situation, but I'm also thinking it may have been Jen trying to take the focus off of Jameka and give her some small amount of privacy. because the cameras were so focused on her while she was breaking down. The way some of these people are taking it (it being Eric voting against the LNC) like an act of deception and disloyalty. They attribute it to and make it seem like it's a reflection of his PERSONALITY, not game play. Some, some being Amber, going as far as to insulting Eric's religious background. So when they leave the house, and Julie Chen tells them that Eric is/was America's Player, then all their assumptions about his personality might seem... kind of harsh. Y'know what I mean? Dick already knew the secret somehow. Eric went up to him long before this and said "I know some of Amber's secrets that I could use against her if i needed to." Dick has now turned around and told Amber that Eric told him the secret. Dick is doing exactly what Eric said he could have done, use Amber's secret for gameplay. Before he told her, him and Daniele were REALLY trying for her to change her vote and when she kept saying no then Dick said it to her, well that is what was online.

And to think I got all excited about tonight's episode thinkin they all decided to keep eric in because it was the smart decision for the game... but noo it's because CBS wanted to keep making money off their whole America's Player angle. You raise a good point with what you say, but it appears to me that Eric only seems to have the option of choosing not to do a "task". When it comes to America telling him who to "vote" for he doesn't appear to have a say because each time he is called into the Diary Room to cast his vote, Julie Chen makes out that his being in the room is just a formality and that the vote is already been cast by the America's Player results.

The next evictee brings along with him or her a DVD that only shows competitions and ceremonies (veto/eviction). Jury members are no longer allowed to see DR sessions or watch the full show. As much as I've disliked ditzy self-centered Jen from day one, I'd rather have seem Jameka go. Jameka bores me to tears, at least Jen, in all her idiocy, creates a few laughs and a lot of drama. The thing about Big Brother is that it is a game with flimsy set rules that can be changed at any time. Do you think it is a possibility that the producers might decide (especially depending upon who makes it to the Final Two) to let America decide by phone in vote who the winner is?

I don't think the idea is that far fetched considering this is how the winner was decided in the very first edition of BB + this gives the viewers a chance to feel satisfied by having the choice given to them AND CBS wins by charging 50 cents per phone vote.

If the latter, I know he has to try to persuade her but judging from what everyone has been saying on the BB discussion boards/communities, all of Jessica's gameplay moves have been basically Eric's strategy. America's Player aside, Jess has barely played her own game. It's kinda like how Howie used to make his moves according to what other people told him whereas Kaysar just did whatever he chose to do (even if it was a BAD move).

The POV winner CANNOT be nominated. He or she is always safe. Thus, it was all on Eric this (err, last) week to win POV in order to have some hope for Eric/Jessica, as was alluded to on the Tues show.

Also, I guess Zach was just so blinded by the power duo of Dick and Dani that he lost sight of his own goals. Or maybe he was scared of the wrath of Dick because you know he'd go nuts on Zach for reneging on his word to be on their side.

And if they are allowed to get letters why would they need to have a secret code, are they read by the producers before giving them to the person they're addressed to?
