Hi,

I have been on leave for 3 months and during my leave the annual performance review took place. As most of you are aware, this is the time companies give this 2-3% salary increase, however I missed it. Is there any law that forces companies not to penalise mothers on leave? I would like to know before talking to HR.

Thanks

no law... the company is doing it on their own...

Your on leave, your not getting paid, ask for the raise when you get back if they don't give it to you then your free to find another job, one that pays you what you feel you deserve.

Raises for what ever reason are at the companies discretion (or in the contract).

Lots of companies give everyone the same base raise and then give out performance raises on top so you may see the inflation raise without even asking.
