have had my subs for over 3years now without a problem, last week, i noticed that my subs weren't sounding as powerful as they once were so i looked in the trunk and realized my amp had a wire loose so i plugged the wire back in. then i started noticing now everytime my deck turns on, my subs go on for like a second, everytime i change it from cd/tuner/aux, it does the same thing. what could it be?

little more info is probably needed but check the fuses on the AMP power wire and the actual AMP

Is your sub making a thump? it is probably a ground loop problem and the loose wire you plugged in was most likley the ground.

Well it would help if you told us which wire was loose? Im guessing its the ground of the amp

I also have same kind of problem here as well, whenever I turn on the deck, I have my subs thump for like a second or two and then go silent until I play a song/radio etc.

re wire the amp the power from battery, and ground wire, the ground wire maybe exposed, oxidized. replace it.
