Apple has the worst manufacturing quality control on their ipods

i hate to say this but apple has the worst quality control on their ipods. my nano came with a small scratch on the bottom and it is brand new sealed (its a nano). it also has 2 tiny holes on the back, i think they are air bubbles (i guess they didnt spray it properly).

i am thinking of exchanging it but the next one might be worst. my first video ipod also had a scratch on the back too. this shows how much pride apple puts on their manufacturing. can't blame them cuz its made in china...

i check my stuff when i open it to make sure everything's done alright. i hope i am not the only one thats experiencing this.

I had to send my first ipod back, but the replacement was perfect. GL with your new one, if you return it.

Okay, I understand the people want a brand new item, but from the sounds of this post, it must be the TINIEST scrath viewable only under direct light, considering how it's a "small" scratch on the bottom of a nano - and we already know how small nano's are to begin with.

Plus, air bubbles in the paint?? Are you serious? That sounds a little too picky even for my taste.

If I got something that had a scratch, fine - I understand wanting to return it. But "tiny" air bubbles in paint? That's a little extreme.

Plus, you say this is your 2nd ipod, because the first one has a small scratch as well. Sounds like the problem is more your picky 'quality control' than Apple's.

Of course, some pictures would shut me up pretty quickly ;)

sorry, i dont mean this is my "second nano" (im still on my first one thinking whether i should exchange it) what i meant was my first ipod (the video one) also had a scratch

my 30GB video ipod had a scratch when i got 2 years ago but i didnt bother returning it.

the ipod (nano) that i just bought also came with a scratch( theres like small 5 lines). this leads me to wonder how strict apple's quality control is. and yes, its visible under the light which annoys me.

You must be terribly unlucky.
I've had 3 ipod products and they all came out perfect when I bought them new.

The iPod sock in the picture above also has a thread out of place. I think you should return that as well.
