Car Protection Packages

Hi all,

I just bought a 2007 Civic EX coupe. Now I want to know if the protection packages that the dealer offers are a good deal, if they work, how long I can expect them to last?

- fabric protection to prevent wear and tear, staining
- paint protection to prevent fading and oxidization
- undercoat protection to prevent rust (and reduce road noise?)
- rust protection to protect against rust

The price for all 4 is $1245, 3 is $1045 and 2 is $849. Any opinions? Has anyone done this before?

When I went to buy mine, I didn't choose any. All gimmicks to me. The sales guy tried so hard to sell it to me by explaining every detail about what it does etc...while he went on his sales pitch, I just well...went to...ZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzz....

To me, they just wanted to steal more $ from customers.

undercoat/rust protection.. check ur warantee maybe it's already covered
fabric < you can buy ur own protection spray in canadian tire for 10 bucks
paint protection... ur car has a clear coat that protects against all the above mentioned scenarios.. there's a bodyshop in GTA that specifically does protection on ur cars, most clients are ferrari, porsche, benz class type of people.. get a 1 yr package for ~$500. or, just learn car detailing and save those money.

there i just saved you 1000+ dollars. ha.

Scottch Guard + a good wax + undercoating = $700+ saved.
