Im not a Costco member but am considering membership. Ive shopped at Costco with friends a few times, usually for electronics and other large ticket purchases.
Ive been reading on here that Costco has great meat. Is there beef and pork, fresh or frozen or both? How about chicken and fish?
How big are the packs of say rib-eye steaks or chicken breasts or salmon?\

Ok. Is there always availability of fresh and frozen? So I could get a box of frozen steaks and a box of fresh steaks on the same day or is it hit and miss on what is available?
How steaks or chicken breasts in a box?

They'll have everything you need. They are never short on meat, at least not the one I go to.
Just go get a membership, you won't be disappointed.

Thanks for the replies.
Those sizes seem reasonable.
I prefer to use fresh meat and if i have to freeze it, i like to keep the freezing period as short as possible. I was worried the packages would be significantly larger. Those look like theyd be ok for us.
thanks again.

Just for reference, packages are usually at least 2lbs+ if not more. For something like the salmon, we usually split it to 4 sections and freeze the rest of them (this is for a 4-people family)

Buy a whole sirloin and cut it yourself, save $4/kg.
(cut and wrapped meat is $4/kg more)
On a 5 kg piece of meat, thats $20 !

We buy all of our meat at Costco and never had any problems. Try their maranated meat...it's awesome! Costco's fruits & veggies are top notch too.
