I Saw John Cena Today..

saw John Cena today at a Tampa Bay mall while on vacation.. i know it's probably nothing special but i've never seen anybody "famous" in public before (except for like.. scheduled autograph sessions and such)

didn't have the guts to go up to him and say hi though :|

actually i didn't even see him at first, i saw this pretty hot girl LOL then i looked at who she was with and i was like.. woah it's john cena! he walked into a coach store and then a kenneth cole store -_- wish i had asked him for his autograph or something :p even though wrestling is "fake" i still follow the WWE so it was pretty cool for me to see him close up.

and yes i know maybe this should be in a blog or something so to make it morel like a forum's entry, who have you met that's famous in public before? :) (like.. close up and by accident)

I saw Test (old WWE wrestler, from Toronto) at a raptors game once...and I went up to him and asked why he was sitting in the 300 level....like what the hell Test, u can afford better seats than these..

Saw the wrestler Test at a club scouting for b!tches to take home, and saw Arnold Swarzeneggar filming a movie at eaton centre when I used to work there. I accidentally walked through the set! The security guard stepped away for a sec and I didnt' even realize what was going on.

Back in gr 9, me and a bunch of friends were skipping school to play basketball at christie pits and Mo Pete was there doing a photography session. So we got him to autograph our ball.

I saw Edge last summer at a Jays game.

I saw Mannie Fresh (rap producer) at Foot Locker Eaton Centre.

I got Shawn Desmans autograph (not for me lol, my ex gf loved him)

I saw Rafer Alston with his manager I think walking around Paramount Famous Players.

I saw Billy Talent (I think it was them...its the band with the brown guy that has the big ass hair) performing outside at Much Music...

I'm pretty sure theres more.

Bono (U2) - Just walking on Bloor St with 3 honeys.

A few local bands like Jeff Healey.

Countless hockey players at bars and clubs - Gilmour, Domi, Sundin, Roenick, Chelios, Corson, Muller, etc.

A few Raptors - JYD for a Cineplex event, Mo-Pete at Loblaws downtown

Microwave Vinnie Johnson on Richmond.

Quite a few Cleveland Indian players like 12 years ago down at Phoenix. Cincinnati Reds players like 15 years ago at a bar on John St.

A few actresses like Tia Carrera, Goldie Hawn, Kate Hudson around Toronto. Plus quite a few 'actresses' like Jenna Jameson, Janine, etc. in Vegas.

When you're in your hotel room at night while everyone else is asleep, it's perfectly reasonable to log on to RFD. I went on RFD to ask for suggestions of places to visit while in Tokyo. :)

back in '96 i think? at a fundraising event, i got my picture taken with jackie chan. i was young then, and didn't care nor realize who he was. I remember the event was held at mcnicole/midland though.

I literally tripped over Samuel Jackson, who was sitting on the front steps of my dads house on Richmond St. They were filming a movie right in front, he was actually pretty cool and we chatted for a few minutes.

I've met the band guy from Letterman (he's Canadian) while i was at a Hollywood Hotel. Mike Myers and Rob Lowe from my cousins wedding there as well, who sat at our table.

I was on a plane and Sue Johanson was sitting two seats over :P

And walking through a park in New York with my aunt we met Cindy Crawford with her child, my aunt and her are both friends from modeling. She's a LOT shorter then I would of thought from pictures. I always thought she was like 6'0 :P

The only celebrity I intentionally met, was at a new record release signing, "Weird Al" Yankovic, got him to autograph my box set (only person in line who brought the box set as everyone else brought his new album), only autograph I have (don't care for them usually)

My girlfriend walked past Kevin Smith outside CITY during his last visit here

Speaking of Kevin Smith, my friends and I are actually in several crowd shots, one fairly close up, on his "An Evening with Kevin Smith 2: Evening Harder" DVD. That was a bit of a shock considering where we were sitting, balcony and a fair bit back.

It was nothing special. A few young teenagers were around being all "OMG MASSARI!!!!!!!!" and asking for his autograph.

I met Kardinal Offishall at the Nike Store on Queen, took me a couple minutes to gain the courage to talk to him, talked to him for a couple minutes and he signed my hat :)
I saw T.I. at Muchmusic but I've lost all respect for him with his machine gun issue...
I've also gotten an autograph by Mats Sundin as he was leaving the ACC after a practice....
I've also met another hocky player, can't think of his name, reddish hair, big moustache, played for the Calgary Flames....
