Hello everyone,
I have a TN visa-related question and I hope someone can shed some light for me….
So, here’s my situation:
I have been on F-1 student VISA in the U.S. for about 2 years now and I am “almost” done with my degree. I only have a few more credits to go before completing my graduate degree. Recently I’ve received a job offer from a U.S. company and I am thinking about switching from F-1 to TN status to take the job. Once I have obtained TN status, I plan on taking classes part time to finish off my study while working full time.
Here’s what I am not sure of:
- Can someone with TN status attend school part time in the U.S. while working full time?
- Will attending school part time threaten my chance of getting a TN visa? Obviously the custom officer will want to know what I plan to do with my remaining classes and I will have to let him know my intention of studying part time.
Any suggestion/recommendation are welcomed!
