I am interested in 2 sony mp3 players but don't know which to choose. I hope to see RFD give me their opinion on which one you think is better.
Sony's NWA806B Walkman Video MP3 Player (http://www.sonystyle.ca/commerce/servlet/ProductDetailDisplay?storeId=10001&langId=-1&catalogId=10001&productId=1003891&navigationPath=n46881n100363) : I want this for its nice design and video playback.
Sony's NWS705FP WalkmanŽ 2GB Digital Music Player (http://www.sonystyle.ca/commerce/servlet/ProductDetailDisplay?storeId=10001&langId=-1&catalogId=10001&productId=1003380&navigationPath=n46881n100328) : I want this for the nice quality everyone is saying but it has less space and the ear buds look awkward.

both are nice but it all depends on how much your paying. If your paying retail prices then there better players out there.

Get a Cowon or iRiver - you won't regret it.

Thank for the replies. I now realized i put this in the wrong section. But ya i had an iriver clix and it was the best player i had ever. But with this noise canceling thing it seems the quality might be better. I really just want a good sounding mp3 player.

If you really care about sound quality, then screw the headphones that they give you. Pay $50 and get yourself a decent pair to go with your decent MP3 player and you've got yourself a nice couple ;)

Hey by any chance you know any stores that sell the iRiver Clix but the second generation?

Anything wrong with the Cowon that's dissatisfying you?

I own the NW-S705 so ask away OP. The headphones are really quite nice. I have no complaints and they do stay in my ears even when jogging. I've slept with them on and they're pretty comfy. Noise cancellation is pretty good. It's no Bose but it's not bad for what I paid ($50US 2 months ago). But there's no way I can recommend the player at MSRP.
I hate Sonicstage with a passion. It's clunky and slow. Worse, the Sony interface is ********. Buttons all over the place (the ipod spoiled me) and unintuitive interface. Although the OLED is nice and the text is legible, everything is tiny and you can't even make out the album covers.
2GB goes a long way if you encode to ATRAC3+
I loved using it on the plane and the battery life is insanely good even with noise cancellation on and the player set on random play. The auto tune via FM also worked well for me when I was in Europe. No need to scan for stations manually.

Yes it does :). You hold the "return to main menu" button on the side and after a couple of presses you'll see the time and date. I relied on that during my Eurotrip since I forgot to bring my cell and I hate wearing watches :cheesygri

Any, but since you're talking about the Clix, then let's compare with the D2. I guess Clix sounds better than D2, lol.

I tried ebay for the noise canceling mp3 player but there all either pink or purple. Why is that?

^^^ Because nobody wants those colors. All of the good colors are taken.

Not really, it's because those are the colors Woot put up (that's where I got mine for cheap).
It's only pink in the underside, otherwise it's maroon :D
And it's actually more dark blue-ish and not purple IMO.
Those ebay sellers obviously got them from those limited time woot sales.

Well i went to the sony store to buy the noise canceling mp3 player but for some odd reason they didn't have it. So i ended up getting the Sony Video MP3 player and let me tell you its freaking amazing. The video quality is amazing looks like its running in 30 frames per second and the sound is clear and bass is deep. I recommend you buy it or try it!!! :D
