Are you referring to under-the-table jobs that evade paying taxes?

That's a question you shouldn't ask. Just see what your head say...

I haven't actually done that work myself, but know others who have.

There's usually a few painting or landscaping jobs on there.

I used to do dishwashing/coat check for some banquet halls. Was always paid cash, free food when I dishwashed, free tip when I coat checked lol.

night clubs pay cash too..
friskers, coat check, bouncing (not many people do that... gotta be huge), and undercover security (for all ages clubs. You check if people with no wrist bands are drinking and get the bouncers to kick em out).

Mowing lawns. That should be an obvious job that basically everyone pays cash for.

If you have a part-time job and make maybe $150 a week, no tax will be taken off anyways I believe. Just a small amout for CPP and UI.

If you won't pay taxes anyways, why would you care about cash jobs? By 'cash jobs', everyone here has assumed you mean under-the-table, tax evasion jobs, where the employer and employee pay no payroll taxes. Perhaps you meant something else by your post?

If you're well under the tax threshold, then cash jobs are the worst thing for you. You won't be building any RRSP contribution room for future, for a start.
