Mexx Store Credit

Need some advice, recently was given a gift from Mexx with a gift reciept.

I was able to return the needless to say utterly useless items (long story) to Mexx for only a store credit.

I was wondering is there anyway i could some how get the cash for the store credit some how. Could i perhaps purchase something else and return it to get the cash?

Personally i dont shop at Mexx, nor do i know anyone that does shop at Mexx so i have this useless store credit sitting around on my desk.

Any advice would be appreciated.

You can always sell your store credit but probably with a discount as an incentive :)

Nope. You didn't pay for the items, so you won't get the money. Why not buy something relatively practical and give it as a gift to someone else? Or the gift giver? They apparently like Mexx...

I can second this suggestion. I once received a gift that I didn't like from Banana Republic. I took it to Yorkdale and returned it at the store for a $23.00 credit. Since I was not interested in anything else that they were selling, I asked the manager if I could pay an extra $3.00 and buy a $25.00 gift certificate with the credit note + cash. I nicely explained that I would then give the gift certificate as a gift to someone else who was more likely to shop at their store. She smiled and said no problem. Obviously YMMV.

once i used a $20 gift cert which i got from returning a gift that i dont want... spend on a $10 accessory, then the cashier gave me the remaining credit IN CASH... so maybe u can try buying something really really cheap, then maybe u'll get the rest in cash... YMMV of course.
