we are trying to use two mushkin 4GB kit on Asus Striker Extreme motherboard. We installed teh 929777 patch with 2GB of ram and install 8GB ram after and it doesn't work. We increased the SB voltage and the Ram voltage and still can't make it work in Vista 64 bit. BSOD and crash dump error msg showed up.
Anyways to get it work? Do you have any idea to share here?
Thanks!!!

No need to increase SB voltage because that may cause another problem.
Goto bios and manually set the memory settings to mushkin specification of your ram (voltage, timings etc), if problem still exsist, download memtest and install it on a floppy, boot from that floppy and test each 2GB, if the ram is bad it should show within 2-3 test run.

Good luck with the Striker. It has serious problems with anything over 3gb. I cannot get it to run with 4gb (4 sticks) at stock speeds. My recommendation is to decrease the speed to 667 or less (if it's 800MHz+ DDR). Playing with voltages doesn't seem to make a difference.
Go here and check out the number of memory problems people are having with this motherboard: http://vip.asus.com/forum/view.aspx?SLanguage=en-us&id=20070528002318515&board_id=1&model=Striker%20Extreme
Honestly to anyone thinking of buying this overpriced piece of junk, please avoid.
