So I'm buying a TV soon and still debating between projector/lcd/plasma/rear projection.
The girl really wants a wall mounted tv but I am having trouble picturing it and how it's laid out exactly. IE: Cables and where does the dvd player/receiver go in your setup?
If my tv is mounted to the wal then I don't want a stand that holds all my other stuff.
Show me your pics or give me advice on a wall mounted tv setup!

Go for plasma/lcd tv, you don't have to mount it. It is better to buy a stand.

holy neck strain batman!
unless you're viewing the TV from standing height, mounting it on top of the fireplace is asking for repetitive strain injuries.

unless you're viewing the TV from standing height, mounting it on top of the fireplace is asking for repetitive strain injuries. Not only that but I thought the center speaker should always be mounted on top of the screen(and level height of viewer's head) for correct surround sound placement.
