So I STILL can't decide!?!? Someone please help me... how do I choose one over the other? :)

See which has features that are more important to you than the other. I'm sure one has some that the other doesn't that mean something to you. You'll have to decide what you can live without.

I own a 680i. I'm impressed with the board but I think if I had to go through it all again I would have bought the 965P.
From what I've heard the 965p is a better overclocker and there's no point in wasting money on anything more expensive given that the C2D Version 3's are coming out with 1333fsb and DDR3 is out.
p.s. Directcanada had the 965p-DS3 for only $134 :)

if you are planning a 965 board, maybe the biostar tforce 965 might be a good alternative to the DS3

I just bought the DS3 to play around with OCing my 6300. Fantastic board so far. Sadly, I don't have a P5N to give you a proper comparison, but you will not be disappointed with the feature set of the DS3.

the P5K is another option for $155. It supports 1066 ddr2.

my vote is for ga-965p-ds3
