1: They tried to sell windows..I tell them my house has no windows. They said OH, OK...they end the call.
2: Would you like your ducts cleaned....I'm like yeah I'd love my pipes cleaned...she said awesome, I said how long till they come...she's like the guys will be their in 3 to 4 days....I said no, when do you clean my pipes. Then she's like Good-day...I say BUT WAIT...since you called I will offer you my showtime rotisseries oven for only 4 low and easy payments of $50...GOOD-DAY SIR...$40,$30, $20, FREEEEEEEEEEEE! she hangs up
3: LIfe Insurance...I ask for a quote over the phone. I'm 17 for the record; he asks me how old I am, I say 74...ARE YOU BORN IN 1974~!~? Nope..I'm 74 years old..OK says the man, any health issues? Yeah I have CANCER...CANCER!!!!!!! SAYS THE MAN...I'm sorry but you are not qualified...then I say I was 10 seconds ago. Then again, I tried to sell him something and he hung up

1: Houses have to have windows, unless you live in a cardboard box in which case you shouldn't have a phone(or an address) either

2: Learn proper english because you make no sense.

3: No comment.

If can have time and am bored and someone calls overing a service I always change it and keep asking questions. For example if they call for a free window replacement estimate I start asking about duct cleaning, how much does it cost, so, your going to clean my carpets, how much does it cost, and this is duct cleaning right, etc. It pisses them off :D

I've started feigning insanity.

The words "Hot kinky penguin sex" come up pretty frequently on the phone now... though I kinda got called out on it when someone who was asking for, "Mr. -----" was on the receiving end of my insanity speech. Turns out it was a friend of my dad's =S

If they call trying to sell things for the home (windows, fencing, whatever), just tell them you live in a condo. All that stuff is not in your control in a condo and they have no answer other than goodbye.

I typically just say I'm not interested and that I'm hanging up now.

I use to be a telemarketer, so I learned all the tips and tricks of the business. Ussually I'm kind and I give the guy a chance to sell me, but if his sales pitch is bad, all he gets is a not interested and I don't take solicitations over the phone/take me off your list. That gets you removed from their calling list.

If however you're pissed at a telemarketer, the best thing to do is jam the numberpad. Working in a call centre, I know it can be rather difficult to hear people on the other end, so most will turn their volume all the way to the top. Imagine the pain they retch from after you jam the numberpad from having their volume to the max. If you're really cruel, give them a one two. Speak softly so they have to turn the volume up, and when they can hear you better, jam the number pad.

You all deserve callbacks.

As soon as I realize its not someone I know on the phone I will interrupt whatever they are saying and ask "Are you going to ask me for money?" They usually hesitate and admit they are trying to solicit a donation or sell something and I say "Sorry, not interested, bye" and hang up. Telemarketing calls usually don't last over 15 seconds to my house, provided there is actually a person on the phone, if its an autodialler and no one responds right away when I pick up the phone and say hello, I hang up too..

1.Tell them you never do any business over the phone.
2. Tel them your phone is paid by you and is used for your personal business only. Tell them you will make an exception in their case provided they deposit a retainer in your account and call back after this has been done.
3. Tell them you have no money.
4. Fade in and out of consiousness, mumble something unintelligible every few minutes and ask them if they are your mommy.

It'd actually be pretty funny to try and sell them something

what i usually do is tell them I'm REALLY interested ( in whatever they are selling) but tell them to hold on for just one second, (I have another call on the other line, let me get rid of them for you!) then I just put the phone on hold or switch back to the other call and just never come back! they get the message real loud and clear!:D
