****You can no longer purchase raffle tickets for the Wii. The draw will take place at 9 PM on Sunday, October 14th. Feel free to still pledge me!****
As many of you know, I got married to mr chococrazy on September 1st :)
The end of September will be just as eventful; I will be participating in the CIBC Run for the Cure on Sunday, September 30th. I will be wearing my wedding veil!
Once again, I am asking for all you kind-hearted souls to pledge me. My future mother-in-law will be missed at the wedding; I never got to know her since breast cancer took her life over a decade ago. Even so, I have gotten to know her, through stories and memories. I am running in memory of her.
My ambitious goal is $2,000. I am now raffling off a brand new Wii!
---------------------------------------------------------------
First things first. The prizes.
Early Bird Draw*: August 31, 2007
- collapsible umbrella - won by old_underwear
- retro style gym bag - won by someone outside of RFD
- New Balance 802 shoes (winner to tell me size, gender) - won by MrDisco
Wii Draw: October 14, 2007
- brand new Wii!
The fine print:
*The early bird prizes are gifts from the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation (CBCF) for achieving certain fundraising results. As such, they can only be awarded once they are received from CBCF (early 2008). Should CBCF decide to substitute one of the Early Bird prizes, the winners will receive the substitution.
All winners will be contacted within 14 days of the draw date. Names of the winners will be posted on the blog listed below.
Prizes must be accepted as awarded. All charges and/or expenses, other than those specifically mentioned as part of a Prize are the responsibility of the winner of that Prize.
Follow my campaign here: http://brideforacure.blog.com
Here are your instructions. Please follow them carefully before proceeding. Failure to do so means that your donation may not get you your Wii raffle ticket(s)!
TO PAY BY CREDIT CARD:
1. Decide how many raffle tickets you want. One ticket = $10, three tickets = $25.
2. Pledge me online at https://www.cibcrunforthecure.com/html/personal_page.asp?track=2087265&languageid=1. Note that you MUST check off these two boxes under "Donation Amount Visibility":
- Allow the participant to view the amount I donated
- Add my name and donation amount to the list of donors on the Participant’s public page
Failure to do so means I have no way of knowing that you did, in fact, donate that amount. If you have a problem with posting either the amount or your name on my sponsors site, then please pay via EMT.
3. Email these details to brideforacure@hotmail.com, in this order:
RFD Nick, Full name, Amount donated, # of entries, email address, phone number.
(e.g. chococrazy, Jane Doe, $100, 12, blah@blah.com, 416-555-1212.)
4. I will respond back via email with your raffle ticket number (please give me at least a few days to do this).
TO PAY BY EMT:
1. Email me at brideforacure@hotmail.com with the following information:
RFD nick, Full name, Amount donated, # of entries, email address, phone number, secret question and password.
2. EMT me the amount to brideforacure@hotmail.com
3. I will respond back via email with your raffle ticket number (please give me at least a few days to do this).
TO PAY BY PAYPAL BALANCE (no credit cards):
1. Transfer amount from paypal balance to me at brideforacure@hotmail.com. I need the following information in the "Message to Receipient" field:
RFD Nick, Full name, Amount donated, # of entries, email address, phone number.
(e.g. chococrazy, Jane Doe, $100, 12, blah@blah.com, 416-555-1212.)
2. I will respond back via email with your raffle ticket number (please give me at least a few days to do this).
I actually have printed out raffle tickets out (what else to do with wedding invitation cardstock that I have leftover!). I will physically write your information on the ticket stub. If you wish to collect your draw ticket from me, you can do so.. however I will also scan your stub(s) and send them to you via email. All tickets will be prefixed with an R (R001, R002 up to R999) except for twenty tickets that I numbered A101 through to A120.
Sample ticket here! I have purposefully blanked out the number, these are all printed on computer and not hand written in. The people who have purchased from me can attest to this. :)

Bride for a Cure - Win a Wii FAQ
1. Who are you?
For those of you who don't know me, I am a very active member of RFD and have attended numerous events (if you ever come to an RFD Toronto meet, you'll probably meet me!) Most RFDers will probably know me as one of the people that works on the Shoppers Drug Mart referral chains (working hard to earn extra points for all RFDers!)
I have been volunteering for organizations most of my life.. from community groups, human rights organizations (federal and international) to the charitable donations committee at my work. I won the volunteer of the year at my company (1200 employees) a few years ago, but I do not do any of this stuff for the awards or accolades (evidentally, since I'm raffling off -my- prizes from the CBCF for fundraising!)
I actually worked at CIBC for a period of time, on this event and I can tell you that the team they have organizing this event, as well as the folks at the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation are top notch. I have participated in the Run for the Cure for the past 8 years in one way shape or form (working, volunteering, or running) and if you haven't yet you should too!
2. If I win an early bird prize, can I win the Wii too?
Yes. You can only win one early bird prize; however, everyone is put back in the draw for the Wii.
3. Is there an age limit?
No, anyone can purchase tickets.
4. How do I know you're not going to take the money and run?
If you have any doubts about my motives, please donate by using your credit card. The money goes straight to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, and they'll even email you your tax receipt right away!

For historical purposes, here is the details of my Optimum points contest:
To make this interesting for all you crazy deal hungry RFDers, I am raffling off 20,000 Shoppers Drug Mart Optimum points. You will get one entry for every $10 that you pledge me. Raffle date is July 15th.
To qualify, you need to:
1. Ensure this box is checked off on the online form:
Allow the participant to view the amount I donated
2. PM me once you've donated with the exact amount and your first name.
I will update the second thread with your rfd nick, and the number of entries.
Together we can find a cure. Think pink, think positive!
P.S. I'm going to be keeping track of my fundraising on my blog for those of you who want to journey with me! http://brideforacure.blog.com

Where exactly is the CIBC Run for Cure route in Toronto?
Sep.30th is the same date as the Scotiabank Toronto Marathon, Half-Marathon, and 5K run in the downtown core and there is also a Blue Jays game in the early afternoon!
I can imagine the road closures that day will be crazy!
Anyways, best of luck with your run. It certainly is a great cause. :)

Worldgirl, PM me your optimum card number and I'll give you your points :)
OK here's the deal.
I have a brand new in box Wii that I'm going to be raffling off. More details in the next couple of days.
Those of you who who sponsored me during the SDM promotion will also get entries. Cost of tickets is one for $10, three for $25. Anyone wishing to 'top up' their original donation can do so.
I'll actually be making ticket/ticket stubs for this. There will be secondary prizes of the free stuff that I get from CBCF for doing this event. This will be the early bird draw (draw date August 31, 2007)
So far they are:
Collapsible Umbrella
This branded, chocolate brown automatic opening umbrella fits comfortably in your personal bag, back pack or briefcase.
Retro Style Gym Bag
Functional, waterproof and lightweight, this retro style gym bag comes with a removable shoulder strap and a “dry pak” pouch to separate wet and dry gear.
If anyone would like to help me make my goal, I can send you the tickets/ticket stubs in the mail, so that you can get your friends, families, or co-workers in on this raffle! PM me for details.
Draw date for the Wii is October 14th, 2007.

Everyone who's ever been breastfed: can't you spare 10 bucks in appreciation of the many free meals? And it's not just breast cancer either, I'm sure the research they do there will ultimately help find treatments for all sorts of cancers, and there are a lot of them. Who doesn't know someone touched by cancer. Step up folks! Please :)

Wow, I can't believe the lack of people not going for this.
Okay Maybe this will help:
When you donate you donate to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation . You give your credit card number to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation , not personally to chococrazy. She does not get to see your credit card details.
This system is well organized by the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation and a true time saver since you don't need to send in a cheque.
After you donate, instantly you get a reciept for this donation sent to your email address. It is from the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation for the CIBC Run for the Cure.
The raffles she does is an extra to peak your interest and to help her get alot more donations.
I don't know chococrazy personally but she did run the shoppers drug mart secret points (along with a few others) staying at the computer till everyone was signed up. That took several nights ( over a week????) and she was still around to answer questions for any one who had a question. After the event spent alot more hours tallying up all those points and trying to even out the points to the people at the end of the line.
She has had a few other draws and has always paid out the prize.
So donate for the cause and you may even win a prize for that.:)

In other news, I received a hefty donation from an RFDer. Thank you SO much. You know who you are. This means that I'm suddenly at $1,480.00. I can't believe it. I think I might actually reach my goal of $2,000.00!!!!!!
To reiterate, I'm getting married on SATURDAY, and I'm fundraising in memory of my mother-in-law, who passed away of breast cancer before I could meet her. We will miss her terribly at the wedding, no doubt there will be a few tears of sadness that she is no longer with us.
Thank you for all the love and support of all RFDers. You guys have made my goal a possibility!!!
Draw for early bird prizes will happen sometime tomorrow night. Probably before I go to bed - midnight-ish since I don't have to be at the salon until 11 AM.
Good luck to all raffle ticket purchasers!!!! Reminder that the early bird prizes are those given to me by the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation for raising a certain number of dollars; thus, I will only be able to give you the prize when I get them from them. However, when I notify you of your winnings, I will also give you my home/cell number in case you need to inquire about your prize. I'm told early 2008; I will follow up after the run to get a more concrete date. Winners of the running shoes will need to tell me sex and size of shoe.

Thanks everyone. At the wedding, one of my HUSBAND's cousins gave me another $500 to get me to reach my goal of $2,000.
So yes, I have made it to my goal. Thanks again to everyone that could make this happen!!!!

Bumping from Venice (yeah, I'm an internet geek, what can I say). Even though the early bird prizes has been drawn, there's still a Wii left to win!!!!

Wow, Chococrazy's on her honeymoon and still popping in to say hi! What dedication! (or insanity--but I prefer to use the term dedication). There's still time left to get in the game! (And help find the cure to a terrible disease!

I know everyone's all wrapped up in the pepsi contest, but don't forget this one! Even better odds, and with tax deductions and contributions to a good cause, everyone's a winner!

old_underwear!!!!
Thank you SOOO much for all of your donations. I was humbled by the number of people that donated. I honestly believe that your dollars will help find a cure for breast cancer.
I managed to win a Xbox 360 Core and am considering raffling it off for my fundraising next year - since the raffle seemed to be so popular. Or I might just sell it and give the money instead to charity.

ORLY!!??
nice find........
I love how they put all the hawwwtttt girls at the front and you can't see the girls at the back........
The second clip is another cruel joke but hawwwwwtt damn, that girl was smokin' !
wowzers, those girls (esp. the first few) were smooooking hawwwtttt......lovin' the latina chicks...
not sure what you are smoking but those are two different clips. One is about scaring the girls, the other is with the water bed...
sweeet................I'll go if Ryan and Derek promise that the hawwwwtttt female mods are going as well.......
OR..........if they sponsor some hawwwtttt female models to showcase XXXS RFD T-shirts !
EDIT - **Oh, Choco might go...........now that is hawwwtttt**
it is a toss up, I dig girls that are slender (but not rail thin and flat with no a$$) and a girl with curves is hawwttt as well. As long as the girl is healthy, carries herself with confidence without being b!tchy and has nice hips and a$$, I am there!
Actually I am more attracted to a woman's face, cheeks and eyes.
Not really a breast person but the girl shouldn't be devoid of breasts. Monica Bellucci is super hawwwttttt.........
Hey Bree and drucillica...............how uuuuuuuuuuuu doiinnnnnnn ?
daaaayyyyuuuummmmmmmm...........
two hawwwttttt RFD girls, what more can you ask for in a RFD meat?
That will be two more girls than the last RFD meat..........hahha jk.
I might have plans this Saturday night (but might be downtown), so I'll find out soon. If I can join, I'll be there.
go with your buddy that is going stag..........as shaner said, this is 2007 man !
You are going to have a blast. You get to hit on all the hawwwwtttt single girls there, probably get to go to a dark corner and get some action there.
Plus you get to booze it up, make a fool of yourself and mingle with all your other buddies !
It is going to be fun.
