Does anyone go to the Scarborough Bluff or the west beaches past the CNE grounds and always find its littered with bird crap on the boardwalk? Both places have really lovely views, but its hard to enjoy it when most of the time you're looking down to try and avoid bird crap.

Luckily though, for some reason, the beaches at Woodbine have hardly any bird poop as much fewer birds go there for some reason. So is there anything that can be done about all those pigeons and geese that crap constantly on Toronto's best beaches/parks? I mean all winter I'm stuck indoors and can't enjoy the city's waterfront areas and now that its summer I can't enjoy it because birds drop landminds everywhere and dirty the parks up. >:(

Sometimes they piss me off so much that I wish I could just get a pellet gun or something and shoot them all down.

Yeah it doesn't help the situation that people feed the birds, but there's got to be someway to get rid of them without killing them isn't there? I would love to just walk on the west beach boardwalk without having to encounter bird sh$t every single step. >:(

the birds are a part of nature. They will always be there.
But to make them avoid pooping on the spots where people walk around, is to stop feeding them.

they are attracted to the boardwalk because people keep on feeding them!!! Therefore they come back for more...

Yes, the bluffs charge $1 per hour for parking up to a maximum $5 on weekends I believe. If you go on weekdays its free though.

I really love bluffs for the view, but bird poop really hurts the beauty of that park.
