Hi, first of all, I'm not a gay looking for another gay guy, its just I will be in waterloo for the first time this september, it would make the school year brighter if there is a buddy to talk with. I go to laurier, i decided to suddenly to switch to that university at the last minutes, so I lost my rez buddy in UW. Although i will be going to both school for DD.

Basically looking for someone else who wish to live off rez would prefer first year to waterloo or laurier but doesnt really matter, and it will definatly be separte room for personal space, and the room will cost over $450 as I'm still trying to find a close place in between both school. If anyone interested, please PM, please no gay comments.

If it's your first year it's highly recommended that you stay in rez to at least get a feel for things. Although given your situation I guess it's more logical to live somewhere in between the two schools, but you'll end up missing out on a lot of things off rez (getting to know others and random events). In the end I would think it's hard to find someone, especially in their first year, who'll want to go off campus. In most cases I would imagine it being a second, third or fourth year student. You may also want to try and find someone else who is in your program and thus would probably be in the same situation as you and see if they want to be roomies.

I heard that you gotta pay 10grand for rez, thats what I heard from Queens university students that came to our class and talk about university life.
Living in rez definity a good choice, you get use to the university

lol this is a lame request

..... nothing wrong with it..

guys, i think he's not frosh. . .he clearly says that he goes to laurier, and switched to waterloo--this will be his first year at waterloo, but not his first year of uni

to the op, i wish you luck. . .my university days are far behind me. . .

no, i believe he is frosh. it sounds like he first thought he was going to Accept the Laurier offer, but at the last minute Accepted the UW offer instead. Also, he mentions "DD" which is presumably the Math/Business Double-Degree program. If he wasn't frosh, then he'd already know a ton of people in both Math and Biz and wouldn't be making this request on RFD.

after reading it again, you may be correct. . .then again, i might be too. perhaps his post is vague enough to be read two different ways.

regardless, can't anyone help him out? i'm sure there must be a ton of rfd'ers going to waterloo next year. . .

"gay" comments? wtf?

i thought using the word "gay" as if it were a synonym for "stupid" had fallen into disrepute.

Queen's residence fee includes meal plan if you live in campus (all you can eat, 3 meals). At least it did back when I was at Queen's years ago.
