Birks handbags what do you think of them?

I just found out this week that Birk's jewelery store has their own handbag line. They look pretty nice, but it seems they are kind of jumping on the "fancy handbag bandwagon" as I'd say.
They remind me a lot of Coach, LV ect...with all those monograms on them.

Just want to know what people think of them. I like the brown colour so far!

$1000 for a fabric purse is a bit overpriced. They try to justify it by calling it "Italian fabric". Lining is rayon and not silk. Don't think it's worth it. Looks like a cheap bag from Browns or Wal-mart.
