I'm female and I recall trying out samples for men's facial products. They seem to have a cologne smell. It was unpleasant. Is that what makes it "for men"?

I picked up a Loreal Menexpert gift bag when it was on sale -- got exfoliator, antiwrinkle cream and shaving foam for $10.
Not a big fan of the exfoliator but the other two are pretty good.
Otherwise I use women's products, they work fine for me.

Are you looking to address a specific issue? My kids used Clinique for Men when they went through the breakout stage, there was 3 things in the package, a toner, bar soap and a moisturizer. Pretty much no fragrance to it and it seemed to work well.

I think it depends what skin problems you have.
I like Neostrata, as it is cheaper than Clinique and also has no fragrance.
I like their eye cream better, but that is just me.
I would try and get some samples of Clinique before spending a lot.
Clinique is good too,a nd they have gifts all the time at bay, sears, holts (usually women's bonuses tho).
Neutrogena is good too.
I think most of the men's products are just women's face stuff that is repackaged. I tried some men's products that were unscented and they were just as good as women's creams, and cheaper!

Actually, yea. Mens' products are the same as womens except with a different package and marketing.

L'Oreal For Men - facial scrub, shaving cream, aftershave. None of that anti-wrinkle/aging garbage or anything like that.
I like their products a little better than the Nivea For Men line...

Can anyone recommend any good eye creams? Mainly for bags, regeneration and making the area around the eyes looking healthy and young.

While we're at it can anyone recommend some nice wax? You know, to make those legs and lips and chest smooth as a baby's behind :cheesygri

That stuff sucks! :| Sorry, but it's heavily scented and can be abrasive for sensitive or complex skin. (Even though the ads claim otherwise)..
I would recommend LaRoche Posay or Avene products. You can find them in most pharmacies. Both brands are made from thermal spring water, from France.
It treats serious dermatological conditions such as atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, eczema and burns but can (and should) also be used as part of a regular skin care routine, for men, women or kids. I use it because it's odorless, and very soothing.
People these days use really harsh "cleansing" products when really, it's not necessary unless you work a really dirty day job.
They wash away skin's natural defenses.
Anyways, for the guys out there who sometimes need a little moisturizing or a good face soap, check it out:

clinique makes a lot of stuff that is not gender specific--their face wash bar, turnaround cream, etc.
body shop has a line of products designed for men--exfoliant scrubs, etc.

I actually take the "of a man" Body wash by Body Shop on any trip I go since it's body/facewash and shampoo all in one bottle.
Smells great too.

Yes and no, men's products usually have alcohol (or some kind of acid) to kill bacteria which is crucial after shaving (think aftershave).
