Lacoste is overhyped nowadays. You might score style points from the general public for wearing hyped clothing, but the fashion gurus will still see you as a dork. If HR isn't selling it anymore, then you know it's not fashionable (although this doesn't mean that HR is fashionable).

Most people who are willing to spend larger amounts of money do use clothing as an expression of themselves and their lifestyle. It would be considered a form of non-verbal speech I suppose.

Anyway, the surge of Lacoste popularity last year and the year before that is due to the hype. Sure, there are people who have always been wearing Lacoste, but I'd say a majority are wearing it to look cool. The common problem is that when the image of Lacoste changes to being a "fad" brand, the people who use the brand as an expression of themselves (i.e not the people who bought one because their friends have one, and the fakes) would feel as if they were being misrepresented.

did you even READ your last thread??

Heres an exact address
http://www.lacoste.com/ca/main.html

You can find it through that site. It's at 131 Bloor St. W.

Heres a description of where that exact address is
there's one on bloor between bay/university, it's in the middle of those 2 main streets on bloor, on the southside of bloor.

Heres places where people mentioned that sell Lacoste polos. Holt, Harry Rosen and the lacoste outlet at vaughn mills. So if holt doesn't carry it try Harry Rosen.
Holt Renfrew and Harry Rosen carry them too. Both of those are located close to the Lacoste store. There's also a Harry's at the Eaton Centre. If you want you can check the outlet at Vaughan Mills. They are cheaper there... just you might not find the size/colour you want.

You've been spoonfed the information and you still don't know where they are...........   The only thing you weren't told was the exact floor and which store its beside. Just go to the mall and check the directory:idea: The stores not going to disappear.

@Yao. There is no need to cry over the fact that they stopped selling the same generic crap that your friends all wear/adore. There is no need to get offended over what we say on this forum, many of us actually know what we are talking about, and our knowledge may cause discomfort (especially to people who feel dissed when we talk about their favorite brands).

If what we wear is not an expression of ourselves, then what is? When we buy clothing, we have to CHOOSE between different cuts, styles, colors, fabric, fits, size etc... It is the perfect representation of who we are! Certainly I am not the only one to believe that, why else would clothing companies so many different types of "tops"?

If all of us are boring and think like you. Then we would all be wearing the same colored clothing with the same cut made of the same fabric (imagine the scene from 'The Island'). Whether consciously or not, you show a hint of who you are from your clothing.

It's called consumerism..... how the hell do you think this notion of what you
wear is a reflection of your personality? because the media and advertising has
been shoving it down your throat. Why? to sell you more clothes.

So what? You have nice clothes? Does that give you the right to criticize YAO and him wearing a
LACOSTE Polo? Listen get a clue, how do you know YAO doesn't want a Lacoste Polo
because he likes the cut and design? You only assume that is he FOLLOWING A FAD
and TRUE FASHIONISTA like you re judging him because he wants a Lacoste
polo. Listen you ain't better then any body if you wear a Dior Polo instead
of a Lacoste polo and it doesn't make you more fashionable. All i am saying
is stop judging people and thinking you are a fashion king because you keep
up with the fads. If anything that makes you a TOOL, you only wear
clothes because you think are hip and trendy, while YAO wears his Lacoste
Polo because he thinks it looks good.

I spend a lot of money on clothes too because i like to be fashionable but
i don't go around judging people because they are not up to date with all
the current fashion. What gives you the right or anyone else the right to
JUDGE SOMEONE?

You come into this Thread, acting like you the judge of fashion and you assume
that YAO only wants a Lacoste Polo because everyone else has one, and it was a FAD.
How do yo know if he just doesn't like the color, style and fit? No you just come in here like an *******
and assume he is trying to be cool because he is following what other people do.

If you find something you like and you think it looks good on you WEAR IT. Not because
it is fashionable or trendy but because it is what YOU LIKE.

I think some of you take this clothing stuff way too seriously. "Fashion gurus"? Who gives a damn? I buy my clothes from Wal-Mart and no one that matters cares. Getting nice clothing is more for yourself, not others to see. If wearing a Lacoste makes you feel more comfortable for whatever reason, then go for it.

If someone sees me as a "dork" for not wearing what the latest "fashion guru" dictates, then I sincerely feel sorry for that person.

Some people just don't know the truth, yet they spew out garbage.
First of all... Lacoste left HR, not HR stopped selling it. HR operates like a department store these days with little mini boutiques. Lacoste like many of the other sections rent out space to sell their product. After months of being pushed around and moved from spot to spot...they left HR for good.

Yao.. if you are truly a Lecoste shopper and not a fad-bandwagon wannabe, you would have noticed the merchandise that has been out on the market for the last 2-3 years has been plain garbage. The new material sucks, as it fuzzes up after a few washes. Don't bother buying Lacoste stuff that says on the label "Designed in France, Made in (Peru, China other whatever other country)." If its not Designed and Made in France, they the product is inferior. Its like buying a Ferrari made in China... just not the same.

It's called consumerism..... how the hell do you think this notion of what you wear is a reflection of your personality? because the media and advertising has been shoving it down your throat. Why? to sell you more clothes.

I think I explained myself quite clearly in the post that you quoted. My personality is reflected in my clothing because I hand-picked my selection. There is nothing shoved down my throat, contrary to your fantasies. Sorry.

So what? You have nice clothes? Does that give you the right to criticize YAO and him wearing a LACOSTE Polo?

Yes I have nice clothes, but that is not the topic at hand. In fact, I did not even mention a single shred of detail about my active wardrobe in this tread. I don't know what you are picking at. Also, I did not "criticize" Yao for wearing Lacoste, maybe it is time that you brush up on your comprehension skills.

Listen get a clue, how do you know YAO doesn't want a Lacoste Polo because he likes the cut and design? You only assume that is he FOLLOWING A FAD and TRUE FASHIONISTA like you re judging him because he wants a Lacoste polo.

The only one here that needs a clue is Yao... he needs to check his OWN threads before duplicating them again. Also, no one here will wear a modern Lacoste polo for its cut and (lack of) design... do you even know what you are talking about?

All i am saying is stop judging people and thinking you are a fashion king because you keep up with the fads. If anything that makes you a TOOL, you only wear clothes because you think are hip and trendy, while YAO wears his Lacoste Polo because he thinks it looks good.

Uh... I think you got that one mixed up. I was the one who started to talk about cuts, fabrics etc here first. While band-wagoner Yao is the one dying to get his hands on a Lacoste polo. And I did not judge anyone in particular, all I "judged" was Lacoste, and my verdict was clear... Lacoste has fallen into the hands of the poser crowd.

I spend a lot of money on clothes too because i like to be fashionable but i don't go around judging people because they are not up to date with all the current fashion. What gives you the right or anyone else the right to JUDGE SOMEONE?

Nice, you just reiterated your previous paragraph. But instead of calling me a tool, you told everyone that you spend alot of money on clothing. Which is funny in itself, because you mentioned consumerism and media earlier... so let me get this straight, a victim of "consumerism" (whom likes to spend loads of money to be fashionable) is lecturing ME about the evils of consumerism and telling me how clothing is not a representation of one's self?
Buddy, life is binary. You are either on one side of the fence, or you are on the other side, you cannot straddle the middle without being labeled a hypocrite.

You come into this Thread, acting like you the judge of fashion and you assume that YAO only wants a Lacoste Polo because everyone else has one, and it was a FAD. How do yo know if he just doesn't like the color, style and fit? No you just come in here like an *******

You said this already. Except you replaced "cut and design" with "style and fit" and added "color". Read what I said earlier.

True. You could have saved a lot of time by typing this only.

You tried to be a know-it-all and say HR isn't even selling Lacoste anymore because it is not

you look like a fool. That just proves you are full of non-sense and then you just make up
