It simply won't connect :(. Press and hold receiver button, press and hold controller button. Then I get four quick flashes of the green "ring", and then it just goes back to more spaced out "ring" flashes.
Any ideas anyone ? :(
Thanks.
Edit: I'm running Windows Vista Ultimate.

Is that a serious question ? :D No, I wasn't trying to connect to my toaster (yes, I do have a receiver).
As for the ones that did understand what was going on, I have found a workaround on some other message board - you have to unplug all USB devices aside from the receiver, reboot the computer and then try to pair up the controller with the base. It worked for me :).

So basically, untill better drivers come out, this thing is a piece of CRAP.

So basically, untill better drivers come out, this thing is a piece of CRAP.I had a problem with weird-ass funky conflicts with my Logitech G15 USB keyboard. If the keyboard was not plugged in, the receiver worked fine. If the keyboard and receiver were plugged in at the same time, I had the same symptoms as you.
My resolution was to move the receiver to a different USB *hub*. I'm now using the hub built into my Dell 2405 monitor, but I also tested it with a cheapo Startech 4-port USB hub, and there were no problems either way.
If you have any kind of USB hub around, give that a shot. You may also have luck if you use a different USB controller on your motherboard - the rear ports are generally all on the same controller, but if there's onboard headers, they're often something separate and you can give them a try.

Thanks for the tip. I've tried many ways, but the only thing that seems to work is what I've pointed out before :(. Gotta love M$ :).
