I picked up a Rogers SA3200 digital STB at a garage sale on the weekend. I'd like to use it with my kitchen TV. It would go in a cabinet, so I need some (cheap!!) way to extend the IR for the remote. SA sells extenders on their website (http://www.scientificatlanta.com/products/consumers/new_IRextender.htm) , but only to US addresses. Anyone know of a like product that I could get somewhere in TO? Don't want to spend a lot of bucks (<$25) since the DSTB is not a necessity, but a luxury for the kitchen.

Just bought one yesterday and my brother is using it from his bedroom to living room using the xtender adapter. He did have difficulty in the beginning as he has concrete walls but for drywall it may be better. He resolved it by mounting the extender closer to the device rack ansd mounted it higher for better reception. The 7 device universal remote is a learning remote so that in itself is a good deal.
