Do all Costco members get this coupon book in the mail? I didn't get one last year. :(

You might want to go check with the customer service reps the next time you go to costco. For me, they set my "receive mail promotion" setting to no and I never even told them that I didn't want stuff mail to my house. So once they set that up for you, you will start to get coupon books mail to you.

You can also pick up a coupon book at the customer service desk if they have them.

I just got the Summer Savings coupon book today in the mail. I quickly went through it to see what I could pick up.

I'm interested in the Pioneer DVD Recorder 160GB hard drive with 1080p upconversion. It doesn't give the model number or the regular price and the costco.ca site doesn't have it listed. Anyone know which model this is and whether it's worth it?

I currently have the Daytek DVR950 that costco had on sale earlier this year and I'm not too happy with it. The recording quality is pretty bad and when I try to record to a DVD, it formats the disc to it's own proprietary format that I can't play in other DVD players. I'm sending the Daytek back and getting the Pioneer.

I just bought a LCD tv! The 32" samsung from BB. Hmm now do I need another?

I'm interested in the Pioneer HDD/DVD as well. I seem to recall seeing an 80G one at Costco for like $450. I'm not sure if that is still the current price.

Also thanks for the info about the Daytek, I was looking at that one, but never got around to buying it.

There is a 30 day price protection. I bought a WD Mybook Premium Hard Drive and the price dropped 3 weeks later. I brought the bill back to the service counter and they gave me back the difference. No need to bring in the heavy air conditioner unless it is over 30 days. The service counter explained the 30 day policy but if you are over a few days, I am sure they still will do the adjustment. Much easier than carting that AC back.

The trampoline is a good deal. I believe it's also free shipping to your home iirc ... not entirely sure on that though. If so, then even better deal because it's like 3-4 heavy boxes.

Just remember to use gloves when installing the fiberglass poles. I got some whacked on my hand and it took forever to get the shards out. Not nice.

They don't put those on becasue the price can change so much between now and the time the coupon is in effect for each TV...case in point, the PANNY Plasma in the WINTER COUPON book...price dropped 2 times in the time from when the book was published, and when the coupon was in effect...

$400 is almost an unheard-of price for an 11000 BTU portable with dual hoses (more efficient than single). They normally sell for $600+ in other stores.

There's also a 12000 BTU one online next week for $500. That's a good price too, and they deliver it right to your house. These things are heavy.

2 Questions

For the Danby portable AC, do these units have additional functions? Some of these portables can double as a heater, dehumidifier, and fan.

Anyone know the model number for the Samsung 1080i upconversion dvd player?

I wonder if these portable a/c's are noisy. I have a window a/c that I am going to install, but I may consider one of these portable ones.

Is it easy to move, if I have to carry it vs rolling it?

What's the difference b/t single and double hose?

I don't see the Danby 11,000BTU AC on the website. Is it an in-store product only? Can I order it online with the coupone?

It's this one...

http://www.danby.com/en/productDetails.asp?model_no=DPAC11007&dept=0004

It's got wheels. It's somewhat heavy so don't expect to lug it up and down the stairs all the time.

Double hose uses 1 hose for intake and 1 for exhaust. It can exhaust the hot air and bring in cooler air more efficiently. If 2 units have the same BTU rating, I'd expect the double-hose model to be better at cooling the room than the single-hose one.

The one online is a different model (12000 BTU vs 11000). It will be $100 off as well next week.

In previous years, I've never been able to find one in store when I needed it. If you know you want one, I'd suggest buying as soon as you see one and take the receipt back for a price adjustment. I think they take rainchecks but that's no guarantee.

$500 is already a great price and they seem to be selling quite quickly; I'd think they'd flying out the door next week at $400.

one more thing about this AC unit. the 12000 version have a description that a slide window kit will fit up to 2 meter in height so that means it will fit balcony door as well as window. But i can't find the info about 11000 version. would this version fit balcony door as well?

I think it'll fit a max of 80". I haven't tried it out yet but I think I read that in the manual. I also noticed the window kit was rather long. It looked like the normal sliding kit was expandable to maybe 4' long, and another piece that acts as an extension for sliding doors. I am not home right now so I can't confirm it but I'm pretty certain.

A friend of mine bought a Sealy pillow-top for $599 at Costco last month (so I'm assuming it's the same one). He's happy with it. He's 6'2", 200+lb basketball player and he says it's comfy.. well, it's pillow-top.. :)

Personally, I have a Sealy Posturepedic (Silver) which I paid over $1000 at the Bay, and I have no complaint after 5 years. I believe Sealy has good warranties.

If you do decide to purchase from Costco, buy now before the sale and get $120 back with coupon later. This is an amazing price that if you wait til June 4-10, there might not be any stock left.

FYI. Costco Warehouses do not deliver, but they'll help you load. This item is not available online.

For a mattress...I'd recommend Dormez-Vous
If you have a flyer for another company (while on sale of course), bring it in and they'll try to beat the price if they can and with something as similar to what they have too! doesn't even have to be the same thing!

Hi

I live in the East does anyone know the Model Number on Samsung DLP 56" and the cost before the coupon. The store in Moncton does not currently have it on the floor

Thanks

I was able to answer my own question as I called the Local Costco and received the following info

Samsung 56" DLP 1080P HLT 5656wx Price $2,299.
With Stand

I cannot find that Model Number on the Samsung Site .... Possibly a Costco Made Unit?

Just in case u didn't realise, it's $480 after the rebate, not $380. (If only that was true!)

I bought that mattress 2 years ago (seems they have that coupon every year). If you are looking for a quality mattress.. you might want to reconsider. I cant wait to change it,

I am a big guy, 6'1'' 230 and i prefer a firm mattress.

Good price for Roomba vac - $200. Depending on the accessories and the model it could be a very hot buy

So, what's the difference between this Roomba and the Discovery and other models?

This SUCKS. I thought it was the 32" Daytek that was on sale. Anyone know if the price on the 32" DM-32 is going to drop anytime soon? Anyone see it at less than $649. Even at that price it's a pretty solid deal, but I was hoping to be able to get the TV and the mount for that price. Thanks.

I just got it, it looks like Roomba Sage, but it also includes the Home Base, and the easy clean brush. Less 1 filter and 1 less virtual wall.

So it's not really sage, it's difference package.

yeah, the Roomba model seems to be unique to Costco. Unlike regular Sage it does come with a home base, which only come standard with iRobot "premium" line.

I have an unopened box in front of me. The biggets concern for me is that this version doesn't come with scheduling. However, the comparison sheet from iRobot says that all models come with scheduling capability: http://store.irobot.com/comparison/roomba_online_comparison_chart.pdf

Does it mean that I just need to buy an additional a stand-alone scheduling remote?

Yes, you have to get an optional component... something like this: http://www.amazon.com/Roomba-iRobot-Scheduler-Accessory/dp/B000E7DL9Q/ (I don't know if that particular one is compatible with the Roomba from Costco.)

$30 USD is not bad.

It should work, because the remote just activate the "Clean" button on schedule, nothing special. It shouldn't not depend on which model, except that it needs a home base, like the one comes in our costco version.

To my knowledge, the one on the coupon is not the model currently in-stores. If you check the item # of the coupon vs the one in the store, you will be able to verify this.

I believe you are mixing up two different items. There is a 56" DLP in some stores right now for $1899.99 and there is/was a $300 Instant Rebate on it. This is *not* the 1080p model in the coupon book. The one in the book is a 'new' model for Costco and should be arriving soon, if not already. It is a lamp-based DLP. I am not sure of the exact model, but it might have already been mentioned here somewhere. The last time I checked (a few weeks ago), the price was hovering around $2300 or so, but I could be wrong.

If you look on Samsung's site they list a HL-T5689S which is a 1080p 56 inch DLP and looks exactly like the one in the flyer.

http://www.samsung.com/Products/TV/DLPTV/HLT5689SXXAA.asp

Its a brand new model for this year and it looks like a winner, it supports a 1080p input unlike most DLPs so I'm interested if the price is right.

Hopefully they sell this item online like the Maxent being as the closest Costco to me is a few hours away...

Don't rely solely on the pictures. For the coupons, the product code has to match the code in the store.

It's almost identical to ours, and all we do are smoothies. No complaints at all, works great.

If I had to say anything bad about it, I'd say the spout is a little wide, and can spill a bit when you pour.

The plasma in question #124608 is Samsungs HP-T4234. Its similar to the 4254 but has 2 HDMI rather than 3, the stand also does not swivel. I recall the price was approximatly $1899 so should be 1599 after coupon.

Looking at the coupon, if it doesn't say "Also available at Costco.ca", then most likely the coupon won't work for online order. Also, costco.ca carries different product than the actual store, so if you don't see it online, then it most likely will mean that they don't sell it.

Your best bet is to pick it up instore next week.

Ok it looks like there are now two models with the $300 off coupon:

-HL-T5656W > 1920x1080 resolution > $2299.99 + tax - $300 = $2298.99+/-
-HL-S5665W > 1280x720 resolution > $1899.99 + tax - $300 = $1846.99+/-

I couldnt find out much about these tvs, but here are links to the manuals if it helps:

HL-S5665W (http://www.samsung.com/support/productsupport/download/FileView.aspx?cttfileid=1012982&type=TV&typecode=1&subtype=Projection&subtypecode=&cmssubtypecode=103&model=HL-S5665W&filetype=UM&language=)

Regardles of what anyone else will tell you, the Samsung 56" tv has the brightest whites and darkest black levels of ANY of the tvs that I have in my location. While the plasmas are sharper looking up close, the colour range and (for lack of a better term) 3D-ness of the image is pretty awesome. They've been hoarding them for a while. My store hasn't had any for sale for at least a month but last week when I was there I noticed 4 pallets up on the racks. Went there this morning and there they are front and center.

Sorry I should have wrote it down, but for those interested in the Samsung LCD, I am pretty certain it is close to the LN-T4032H as shown on the US website. I thought it was labelled 4035 on the box but that could have always been changed. Regardless I remember on the box it listed 5K contrast ratio and 2 HDMI inputs and it was definately that style and not the style of the new 2007 models.

Price on it was $1499.99 after the 200 coupon... and the store I went to (Richmond, BC) had a whole pallet full.
