not referring to my own body, but here is the situation with my car:
My side skirts and lip spoilers are black, just like my car. The lips are actually shiny so it looks pretty decent with the factory black colour, at least at night. Anyhow, I was planning to get them painted with one coat of black and 1 clear coat, just to give them a more metallic, closer to factory paint look. However, this place where i want to get them painted and installed is saying that I should first prime them into gray, then back to black. Is it me or is this not really necessary if I am not looking for the absolute best possible finish?

UPDATE: Most place want me to pay 400 just to pay black skirts even blacker :( Pretty crazy
