A lot of my buddies have switched to Reflex Wiper Blade or something similar to it. What are your thoughts on the product?

They are the best wipers I have ever used... :)

I was skeptical, then I tried them. They're GREAT! (cue Tony the Tiger)

These have worked the best for me over the Aerofoils at higher speeds.

As long as the blades are reasonably clean they don't streak.

Absolutely terrible. I think it depends on the shape of your windshield though (Chevy Impala here). Mine would streak so much they were not even usable. I bought a pair of Bosch Micro edge and the work perfectly.

I didn't like them.

They worked great for like 3 months then they literally fell apart. The rubber came right off the bottoms. The same thing happened with my boyfriends car and 2 of my other friends cars.

For the price I don't think they are worth it.

I just buy the cheap ones now which work almost as well and don't break after 3 months...

I agree. It seems to be hit and miss for some people.

I have been using the reflex blades on my car for 2 seasons. They worked perfectly until the day the rubber released from the blade. I got about a year each out of my first 2 sets. I love them, they are expensive but you can use them all season long and don't have to buy a set of winter blades (which are brutal for lifting off your windshield when highway driving).

The cost is offset by only having to buy one set of blades per year.

I don't like them on my MPV, especially for the rear wiper.

Got the Reflex wipers with WetTec about 6 months ago and they are the best wipers I have used to date.

Did not like them. Were good for about 3 months and then streaked and squeeked. Lifts at high speed.

Going back to Bosch Microedge.

Don't know how thse wipers fare, but I know last weekend, CT had a coupon when you could buy 2 sets of Reflex or WetTec wipers and they would rebate you the cost of 1 of them. Making 2 sets around $22....Thats not a bad price at all. I just don't know about Crappy tires rebates? I recall them taking almost 3 months to send me the gift cards when I bought the $9.99 corless hand vac last Nov.

They make two versions, the one with the hinge covering and one without. which one are you refering to?

coincidentally, i just installed the aerofoil for my passenger side and a reflex normal on the driver side of my car.

make sure with the aerofoil to install it with the wind louvre on the top side of the wiper, so the wind is actually pushing against the wiper.

honestly, there is no difference between the rubber blade element of either of them and my reflex was 22" $25, where the aerofoil, 17" was $10.99. what ur paying for is the visual astheticness of not having any hinged blade holder, but just the cleaner look of the wiper..

parked outdoors all the time, i can see both not holding up very well, but at least it should be pretty easy to refill the reflex wiper with a rubber blade from any other wiper, even the $4.99 cheapos which should last just as long.

I had the regular Reflex wipers on my P5, and they lasted about a year and a half (2 winters) and they held up pretty good for the most part but even throughout the 1st winter they did tend to streak a bit and the only part they seemed to streak a lot was right in my driving view. The passenger side blade didn't even scrape the last 2 inches of the windshield after the first 2 months. All in all they were decent, but not worth the money and I wouldn't buy them again. I picked up a set of Bosch Icon's now and I must say what a difference! No streaks nothing after a couple rain storms and my windshield's have never looked cleaner.

yep, the reflex simply can't exert the same kind of evenly distributed pressure sa a well designed hinged wiper.. and that contact is what ensures the windsheld gets clean.

some cars have a wind deflector on the wiper arm to help the wiper push against the windshield and reflex wipers would probably work alright on these type of wiper arms.

Walmart has their own version of the Reflex wiper blade, and I have both the Reflex and Walmart's on two different vehicles.

The Walmart wins hands down - sturdier construction (if that can be said for frameless blades) and to boot, it was $10 cheaper for a pair!

It's only good for 3-4 months it start to streak, not worth the money in my opinion.

Streaking and skipping problems will often go away if you give your windshield a really good cleaning.

Had the Walmart version and they work great. The price is right too. The one at CT is way too much. Not worth the price.
