Our monthly bills for two phones are $115 and change. Here are the plans we have:
My cell (I don't use it often):
150/Unlimited Eve/Weekend Plan $27.00
911 access fee $0.50
Rogers to Rogers calling $0.00
System Access Fee $6.95
Total Usage fees (for a few text messages I sent) $0.60
Total for my cell including GST & PST $39.60
I actually used 22 minutes of my 150 daytime weekday minutes, 13 of my evenings/weekend minutes, as well as 6 minutes rogers to rogers.
My husbands cell:
700 Unltd Early Eve/Wkds Plan $50.00
911 access fee $0.50
Rogers to Rogers calling $0.00
System Access Fee $6.95
Essential Value Pack $10.00 (includes voice mail, 100 txt msgs and caller ID)
Total for hubbys cell including GST & PST $76.22
He used 152 of his 700 minutes, and 16 of his 100 txt messages.
My husband does go away on business so he either needs a plan he can easily switch to (rogers tells him he will never get this plan again as it's obsolete, but that could be a salespitch to have him keep the plan) where he has lots of minutes, or a cheaper plan that has free evenings/weekends, voice mail, caller ID, etc.
We are on contract until November, at which time I am considering going to pay per minute and just get a $10 card each month - considering I'm paying $6.95 plus $0.50 for the access and 911 fees and have no caller ID or voice mail, this seems like a good option for me as I don't use my phone much. Does this sound reasonable?
Any suggestions for us? We would consider switching suppliers if we could keep our Nokia 3220's as we are happy with them and not into having the latest and greatest anyway.
Thanks!!
