By now I'm sure you guys have heard the recording. Got wind of it on CFRB's Jim Richard's Show-gram tonight. Here is the recording which was obviously leaked to the media by his ex-wife, Kim Basinger.

This is a pretty convincing performance from Alec.

Share your thoughts beyond the usual vapid commentary. I'm not a father but I think kids that age can really push those buttons sometimes.

So what? He's the ****ing father! He's trying to get a hold of his daughter. He has every right to be furious they're ignoring his phone calls.

BTW Kim's an ass. Way to toss your kid in the middle of a fight. If my memory serves me right she's been turning Ireland against Alec for years. Hate these parents who impose maritial problems onto their children. Your marriage sucked? Deal with it. Dont brain wash the kid into hating her father in the process.

To me that did not sound like Alec Baldwin.

That's quite a job, turning an entire country against someone.

I don't think it's that bad, she's 11 & he's the father. Maybe some of the words were inappropriate but how many parents swear in front of their kids? It does sound like the daughter was playing him. I have an 11 year old & don't tolerate defiance. Basically the daughter is saying "I don't have the time of day for you". What parent wouldn't be mad?

His daughter is learning to be a grade A ***** from her mom.

In a way, it's hard to blame him. The part about being a "pig" is definitely over the line, but everything else is just an angry remark from a parent. I bet most parents have said most of that stuff to their kids over the years. Even parents have angry outbursts and sometimes they take it out on their kids.

I don't know everything, but it's my understanding that Kim Basinger is a complete snob and it appears that she's using her daughter just to spite Alec Baldwin. That would make me angry too.

His language was very very inappropriate. But I'd be pissed off too.

the comments are bad but Kim Basinger releasing this info to the media is even more damaging to the child. Shame on her, using her daughter as a pawn.

Meh, he was a lot worse in the Departed. Or was that Wahlberg...?
