View Full Version : Does anyone know where I can find a store to buy my LV bag without a receipt in GTA?

My ex bought me this LV bag back in 2005 Nov. when it first came out and it's the limited pink edition. He cheated on me so I don't want to keep this bag anymore but I have no receipt to prove that it's authentic to sell it on e-bay or anywhere else. I was thinking that may be I'll sell it to one of those stores which would buy authentic LV bags (I know they will rip me off but it's better than keeping it). The bag was $1560 tax included and I only have used it a few times...no stain, no signs of usage.
I'm located in Toronto near Finch station so somewhere within 20min driving distance would be great. Please help.
thank you

How do you know it is authentic? Maybe you can go to LV and get it authenticated or something - not sure if they will provide you with some documentation?
You can also post on craigslist or kijiji and offer to go with them to LV and get it authenticated.

;your best option would be put the bag in a commercial shredder to forget all your sorrow and pain instead of trying to profit from it.

LOL...I don't use replicas. I'm sure my ex got it from downtown LV store as it was new arrival and limited edition.

Would they maybe have the purchase info on file in their computer? I've never shopped at LV but other higher end clothing stores I've shopped at sometimes take down my phone number, name, etc.
I'm not sure if they'd print you the receipt or anything since selling a second hand bag might mean they sell one less new one, but who knows, maybe worth a try.

If I remember correctly, each model or bag has a serial number hidden some where on the bag. If you brought it to LV, they should be able to find it and tell you its authentic. Have your buyer or something meet you there to verify the authenticity.

Good idea. THANKS. I will give it a try tomorrow on the phone. I doubt they will do that since it's not even under my name.
Anyone knows any 2nd hand store that buy LV bags? I know they will know how to check the authenticity of the bag cuz I just want the money to be donated. I have already forgive him.

Please stay on topic. I was only asking for a store which will buy my authentic LV bag. Please don't get all bitter if you can't afford to buy anything like that yourself and I do not ask any one of my bfs to buy me anything as I make more than all of them.

I have never heard of any reputable store that buys second hand anything...Maybe a pawn shop?? If you truly want to get rid of the bag and him for good I would just sell it for whatever you can if you make that much money as you claim.

Fans of the brand don't need a receipt to prove it's authentic. Go ahead and list it on ebay, but take as many pictures in macro mode as possible, of the serial tag, the trademark, the zippers, the buttons, the interior, the stitching, the straps, etc. Average joes might not be able to tell but people who buy regularly will know it's real and would be willing to pay a reasonable price for it.

Thanks for your reply. I have 0 feedbacks on e-bay as I have never sold anything on there before. I always got my ex to bid things for me then I paid him back. I'll try but I doubt I will be able to sell it there so that's why I would like to know if there are any stores that will buy it from me.
Anyone? Please help.

I'll give you $30 - so I can give it to my GF.
Got a picture you can share?
I have never nor would I ever buy a "GF" a gift that expensive.
Especially in today's dating environment when "relationships" last less and less time.
Bad investment spending that much.

People, please read my thread carefully. All I am asking for is some stores which I can sell the bag to. I am not here selling the bag nor talking about relationship. If you have nothing to contribute and want to talk about something else, start your own thread. Thank You.

Yes they do. Google the Ontario Internship Program. They have a newly created Project Management stream.

maybe you should ask kiwi what she did with hers. you guys live in the same area too, maybe you guys can become friends, she really needs some attention!
The only brand name thing I have is the LV bag that my ex bought me for my b-day and I didn't even ask him to buy it. I rarely buy any brand name clothes because any jeans or tops over $100 are just too expensive. I have never taken any money from my parents for 4 years now so whatever I wanna buy, I pay for it with my own hard working money.
Meet at Finch Station.

Exactly what was said earlier. Take it to the LV store in Yorkville and they will check it for you. They may take it to send it away. You'll find out whether your ex was scamming you as well. :D

why not? with my 4 years of near full time work experience in the corporate world, the position is perfectly justifiable to me.
To OP:
Quit being cheap and just shred the bag if you have any sense of dignity left. I feel bad for the students under you and the school children

I am not being cheap. I am using the money to sponsor another child through world vision. I guess you just have too much time on your hand to come on this thread and talk non sense. LOL...may be I'll be teaching one of your child 20 years from now...watch out!

Ok if that is the case, i take back all my previous comment and offer you my apology. But when you sponsor a child through world vision, please post the proof here ( i think the kid you sponsor will send you a personal hand made card? )

Yes, they do. I already sponsor a kid from selling the diamond promise ring my first ex gave me. I posted saying I will use this money to sponsor a kid back in my first few posts but you kept on giving me personal attacks for no reason. But I think you should always just stay on the topic no matter what I wanted to do with the money. I was just asking a question. Just my 2 cents.
I will do that once I get to sell this bag. I hope I do get a good price for it but without a receipt I have no idea what I can get.

you might want to look into a consignment store. they let you put the item in thier store and if it sells..they get a % of the sale price.
