Prolly because UP is a Canadian and is showing his allegiance ties in presenting condolences. Simple

Probably because a Canadian was amoung those killed.

Quebecer Among 32 Virginia Tech Victims
CBC News
A language teacher originally from Montreal is among the 32 victims at Virginia Tech, according to state police dealing with the aftermath of Monday's tragedy.

Jocelyne Couture-Nowak, who taught French in Virginia Tech's department of foreign languages, was one of 32 people killed in two separate shooting incidents.

Couture-Nowak was originally from Montreal and had been teaching at Virginia Tech along with her husband, Jerzy Nowak, a horticulture professor who is head of the school's department.

She taught intermediate French at Virginia Tech for many years, according to her colleague Janell Watson, a fellow language teacher at the university.

Couture-Nowak was a well-liked and respected instructor, according to comments posted on a Virginia Tech website used by students to rate their professors.

"Mme. Couture-Nowak is an excellent teacher. She makes everything as easy as possible for you to learn the subject material. She is extremely nice and understanding," wrote one student who took her intermediate French course.

The Montreal native was teaching a course Monday morning when a gunman entered the building and opened fire in several classrooms and hallways before he committed suicide.

Virginia police have identified him as Cho Seung-Hui, 23, a native of South Korea and an English major who lived on campus.

lol....ya right. If that were the case, instead of a maple leaf it would be 2 AK-47's crossed in the background

if at least 2 people had AK-47s in that University, the guy would've been stopped cold after a few minutes

Thats the best solution ever. Hey, why is there even a war on terrorism? Instead of additional security at airports, simply hand out loaded handguns to each person boarding an airplane! No lineups at security checks, prices for flights should go down too. Problem solved thanks to guns! In fact we can take this one step further, and get rid of police, and the legal system altogether. We can each be judge, jury and executioner in one! Should work fine....as long as noone makes a mistake.

So am I...but you wont see me brandishing a gun in a remembrance celebration or memorial other than a military funeral as Honour guard

Perhaps you can keep the stereotypes to yourself...they aren't helping matters any

This is what UP is about...all the way
