I've had, Bridgestone (not bad), BF Goodrich (average), Goodyear (Horrible), and Michelin's (best so far) . Thinking of trying something else. What would you recommend as an all terrain suv tires. Good Summer and mild winter tire ?

If you do some off roading and want decent winter performance, then the BFG All Terrain T/A KO might fit the bill. It's one of the few all season/terrain tires that is rated for severe snow (identified with a mountain and snow flake symbol). I have these tires on my light pickup truck....which can get noisy due to gravel and rocks getting stuck in the wide, jagged tread. Ride is definately not car like though. Not cheap either. Prices tend to start at $135/tire and way up.
Go to the Tire Trends website http://www.tiretrends.com and see what they have in your tire size.

I have the fortera tripleThread (VGroove) on my truck. They are absolutely the best all season tire i have ever experienced. I actually found myself trying to skid around in situations where the truck just wouldnt...
Further, you cant beat the 120 km/h warranty or roadside assistance that comes with these tires.

When you say mild winter tire (little or no snow?), then I recommend Yokohama Geolandar A/T Plus II. They are really good all-terrain tires and pretty cheap too. Best bang for the buck IMO.

Another thing to note is they also are Mountain Snowflake Certified (certification for winter tires).

You should confirm the load rating of your stock tires or the rating that your SUV needs.....I think that this is listed on the driver's side door panel. You should not get a tire that has a lower load rating than this figure. For 265/75/16, the load ratings are all over the place...some are passenger tire rated, others are light truck rated, etc.
