I'm planning to rent a car in Toronto (Yonge and Bloor location) and I was wondering if the 3rd party liability insurance is included with the cost of the rental.
I tried booking online and the only optional insurance that they have in there are Collision Damage Waiver and Personal Accident Insurance; no 3rd party liability.
I am gonna use my TD Visa card for the rental so the Collision Damage Waiver is covered. The only thing left I think that's necessary is the 3rd party liability coverage.
Thanks and any advice you want to give about renting cars would be great.
I was dinged before by a small rental agency for a minor scratch that I'm sure was not caused by me (I did not check the car carefully) so I'm afraid to rent cars. This hard lesson costed me $300. This time, I'm renting with Hertz. I'm hoping that since they are a bigger company, they will not do any hanky-panky stuff.
