There is this place near Yonge & Bloor called Green Mango which has the best Thai food!

I wish I could have my lunch there every day!

Here is there website: www.greenmango.ca (http://www.greenmango.ca)

Everyone has got to try this place!

EDIT: Forgot to mention, you should all go to the Green Mango across from the Green Mango Thai Cuisine place. Less luxurious but same stuff and cheaper.

No I didn't...I didn't want ot go back..just going near that place makes me really sick. Hell just thinking about it makes me really sick.

correction: it was only half the cockroach..it was missing the head.

Tje main green mango used to be a "fast food" place that always had big lines and good food. However, in their infinite wisdom, they decided to convert it to an "eat in" place. You have to go across the street to the noodle place to get takeout. Oh well, I guess they don't care about making money! :P

You gotta try the:
CURRY PUMPKIN SOUP**
A sweet and spicy blend with a hint of basil,
and the rich flavor of curry.
$5

My all time fav. They also make a good chicken cashew and phat thai.

thanks for the post, I had plans to go the Friendly Thai (also on younge) this saturday, We always go there...I went to Spring Rolls once and had a bad experience, so from then on I stuck to the Friendly Thia...but I *think* I will try out the Green Mango, everyone seems to like it a lot...
any other veg. recommendations besides the soup and mango crepes?

Spring rolls is pretty bad place. I never go there.
Never heard of Friendly Thai, but Friendly Greek is bad.
Tell you the truth, I don't think I ever tried the soup or mango crepes. I just have the meals there.

When they ask me for salad I ask for everything, no coriender and extra peanuts.
They give very nice portions for your buck.
Good food. :D

They have good mango shakes, but I prefer vietnamese shakes.
Although most of the time now I just go for Bubble Tea instead.

Green Mango is the best place for lunch downtown. It's $6.85 including taxes for the standard meal, and I always leave full and satisfied (I can eat quite a bit).

Thanks for the bump up. I didn't notice it the first time around. I will be spending a bunch of time down there during the film fest so it is nice to know a reasonable place to eat.

I had it on the weekend.. Pretty good food (the location in the picture above).. It wasn't the BEST thai food I have had or anything, but for quick and cheap food, it was definitely better than McDonalds!!

Green Mango is good for fast food kinda place (actually they have two location, one is fast food whle the other is the sit in you can order style)

I've also tried Spring Rolls on a lot of occations with gf.

Sprill Rolls has better Atomsphere, but both of the food are wonderful, lots of it and good service and prices.

Fantaz

All of their dishes are good! :) But lately I've been ordering Spicy or Padthai Noodles with Curry or Peanut Chicken.

Truth, the smaller 707 Yonge St. location is the place you want to go. They've got the same food as the larger one, except cheaper and less luxurious. Check for a pic on page 2. Mostly anything you order is guaranteed to be good.

I've been to the green mango twice, once at the fastfood location and once at the restaurant. Wow, really great food. I'm especially impressed with the fast-food as they pump out good food at a great price. I'm from Calgary we don't really have cheap food like that available.
