I own DeWalt tools and love them, but the darn batteries are still NiCD. Go for LiOn batteries only!

Take a look at Bosch... top quality and great warranty/support.

Milwaukee or Bosch...Based on anecdotal experience at Humber College's welding program and which angle grinders got replaced the least. Basically if it wasnt either of these 2 brands, it may have been a $25. CT model, because they didnt last much longer.
Milwaukee or Bosch would last significantly longer.
But you have to also factor in the price difference, since i presume you wont be using these tools in the trades and probably any of them will suffice.
As to the power ratings, we can only say more is better, unless you tell us what you intend to do with these tools.

I won't be using these tools in the trades...just home uses...we just finished renovating my basement...and all I had was a Ridgid & some average tools from CT...but now I wanna treat myself to something better....I don't really have any big plans yet...just the windows and maybe the roof...most likely not...I hate height...
I just got the Milwaukee combo recently...so far...I love it...but I still wanna see if there is any better deal on these combo out there...I like the Bosch too...but not much retailer actually carries it...
