:) I have two lenses that is for my Canon Elan 7, that I really like a lot..

Question: Are they compatible on the XTI?? If not what are the comparable lenses that I should be buying?

Sigma - 70 - 300mm F4-5.6 DL Macro Super for Canon AF

& Canon - 28 - 90mm EF f/4 - 5.6

Any comments would be apprciated.. Thanks in advance..:|

Any EF or EF-S will mount without problem although you are more likely to encounter problem if it is non-Canon, with Canon the older the lens the more likely the problem. These problem range from consistent autofocus offset to error on the body at random interval causing shutter malfunction right at the moment you need it. A reboot may or may not solve the problem.

Your EF lens for Elan7 project an image circle that is bigger than the sensor in your XTi. This crop will cause a narrower picture angle than it would have been on your Elan7. This is commonly referred to as the 1.3-1.6x conversion factor when compared to full frame 135. Just note that it is not a magnification factor as a result of longer focal length.
