Surprisingly, those small sized Klipsch Quintet III speakers sound rather large, and pretty good.
$699 for 5 speakers + a sub compared to $1499 is a good deal.
Will definitely beat out those bose cubes.

Klipsch Quintet II MicroSystem & Klipsch Synergy Powered Subwoofer is a decent set. But when you look at amazon.com you wouldn't think the Canadian price is that hot anymore.

Actually.. that confirms it is a decent deal. Remember amazon is only for the speakers, but the best buy one also includes the sub. Amazon with the sub is $600 US... so seems like $700 canadian is a bit cheaper than getting it from Amazon, but the $1499 is overly inflated...lol

Sony doesnt belong in this thread - they make some of the best video, not audio.
Those infinitys look like a great deal, they make some awesome speakers.

Thank you for pointing that out. I didn't realize the Amazon package didn't come with the sub.

The SU10 is more powerful sub than the KSW10.

So I was thinking about picking up the Infinity speakers, thinking they were a great deal....and I found them cheaper at Costco. The same model number, just in black.

Don't get fooled by brand-name alone. Yes, Infinity makes some great speakers, but these speakers are easily out-classed by a set of Logitech Z-5500s that are currently on sale. But of course, you'll have to listen and let your own ears decide for yourself.

Uhhh, you're comparing Logitech speakers to Infinity?
Computer peripheral company v.s. speaker company (JBL/Infinity)????

Yes. Remember that all companies make low-end products in addition to their wallet-busting products. For example, B&W makes the M-1 (~US$200) to the B&W Nautilus (~US$30,000 or so). Different products for different markets.
The above speakers really aren't that great if you go listen to it. The Z-5500s are powered and come with several inputs. The Infinity speakers for $280 require an amp (~$200+). Klipsch make computer speakers and they are pretty darn good. The amp in my 5.1 ultras haven't blown yet like many have complained about.

The Klipsch quintet III line are actually pretty good. Im not familiar with Klipsch, but after hearing them on two occasions. I actually like the sound coming from them. They sound warm, clear and full.
But for $699... I dont think its worth it.
Ebay has these bidding around $200usd
