If you are OK with a standalone unit that does not need to be professionally installed, the Mio C310x GPS seems to be a good unit since it is hackable (http://www.johntam.com/tiki-index.php?page=Mio+c310x+GPS).

i would prefer a standalone unit cuz my mazda has radio controls on the wheel and i don't want to lose it. i was looking at the mio c310 but i'm just waiting for a deal on it.
