Alright, maybe I'm a bit of a twit, but I can't seem to wrap my head around all this -ROM,+ROM,-R,+R, different capacities, brands, fonts on the box (lol), etc..

My situation is this: It's ok if the DVD isn't gonna last that long. It's also OK if the burn speed is slow or if I should turn the burn speed slower. What matters is that the burns work with the xbox (which is modded). Thats actually pretty much all that matters, though I'm receptive to advice about which ones will last longer, be more reliable, cost less etc...

My burner is a LG GSA-4167B.

So yeh, I'd really like some advice because I get suspicious of salespeople by nature, especially when they aren't particularly sure of what my application will be and I don't want to waste money only to discover that I have a worthless spindle of DVDs, which I currently have already.

I believe you can only use dual layers for 360 games. Personally, I use memorex ones and havent had a problem yet.

Verbatim DVD+RDL is the only way to go. Check out the overall consumer experiences for them at www.videohelp.com in the media database they have. It's worth comparing against the Memorex and RiData DVD+RDL's as well. In short, Verbatim scores 'Good' in every category, and RiData & Memorex both score 'Mixed' in every category. Meaning that a majority of people have good experiences with Verbatim DVD+RDL, but there is no majority of good or bad experiences with the Memorex and RiData stuff.... another way of saying it is that Memorex and RiData DVD+RDL are a crap shoot.

No burners unfortunately, just readers. You'll need to get a few specific samsung models (for now) and they're hard to find unless you go thru ebay.
Just google for Kreon firmware and you'll get the current listing of supported drives.
