I have floor tickets for the Nelly Furtado concert this Wednesday and my wife will be 25 weeks pregnant by then. I was wondering if anyone had any opinions on the safety of attending such a concert at that stage of pregnancy. I've searched the Net and I'm finding mixed information. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
EDIT: For clarification purposes, the tickets are for seats on the ACC floor.

A concert would be fine for your baby but I know that being 25 wks pregnant I would NOT want to be on the floor standing at a concert. Any chance of getting tickets elsewhere?

The concert should be fine for both baby and mother. I don't see why at 25 weeks she should be limited physically in any way...it's pregnancy and not an illness.
Have fun...I'm jealous!!!

i think it's fine...as long as she gets a spot to rest at intervals..
i personally would not want to stand for the whole duration..and it'd be nice to have seats close to a washroom too..haha
i'm jealous for the tix too! (but now that i've got a newborn..its hard to get away..even for a couple of hours!)

Floor seats at a concert are very loud, I've been to a lot of them where I can feel the bass right through my body (which I enjoy!). My feeling is that this could quite realistically be a stress on the baby, and I know that my wife would probably avoid such things while pregnant.
Who can say for sure, really? In such cases, I always think in terms of the potential risk/benefit of it. The benefit is small, a performer you could catch next time, so my willingness to accept even a small amount of risk for it would be nil.

I would also consider the fact that there is going to be plenty of smoking in the venue, both cigarette and other. I know that they claim that it's a non-smoking venue, but if pop concerts are anything like the concerts I go to there's still plenty of people doing it.

At around 32-33 weeks, I bought tix for my wife and I for Dave Matthews at Ontario Place (her all-time fave, I could take him or leave him). They were first row off the floor, so we were able to sit or stand at our leisure, but I made sure of that seating before I bought them (E-bay, if I recall). I worried a bit about noise level and "smoke", but I figured the mostly outdoor venue would disperse both OK, and I was right. I'd be a little more concerned with indoor acoustics (loud?! more for you and your wife than the baby:cheesygri ,and don't expect sightlines to be too hot). We both thoroughly enjoyed the DMB show, with no apparent bad effects. Strangely enough though, my 3 1/2 year old daughter's hair is starting to thin on top, and she dances by standing in one spot and just shuffling her feet back and forth!
