Our deck is 14' x 22', and all we have on it right now is a standard 6-seater table with umbrella. With this alone, we feel that we're not effectively using all of the space we have.
My questions to the group are:
What is the size of your deck?
What furniture do you have on your deck?

25X35' colour pattern concrete deck. As for furniture, we haven't done anything yet. We only installed lights, thru the concrete, around the edges.
However, were thinking of getting a large table made of iron or stone with approx 8-10 chairs covered either with a big umbrella that is movable or a large canopy. Still searching though!!!
If you go to this website: http://www.societyconcrete.com/photos.html
you will see pics of my concrete deck. the very last picture, bottom right corner and the one just above that is my back yard. Those light posts that you see are from SNOC, a canadian co. from St. Hyacinthe, Quebec. They cost $300 each.

Ours is 16 x 14 so space is at a premium. I used to have the standard patio set but I find the table takes up too much space and so do the big chairs that come with them.
I got rid of the table and bought one of those folding resin ones and bring it outside if we have a party. Instead of one large table, I use 4 small end tables for resting drinks on. Those coffee table style sets look interesting too.
I only kept 4 of the patio set chairs and got 2 lafuma loungers that fold up out of the way. Maybe all folding chairs would be nice (especially lafumas if I can find enough on clearance), since often there is just 2 or 3 people on the deck and they could be stored in a deck box. I also prefer the gazebo to the umbrella.
I have an outdoor fireplace that runs on natural gas instead of wood for heat and I move that off to the side when I'm not using that. Also have a BBQ and the Centrios outdoor sink.

I don't know the exact size of our deck but it is quite large. We have a 10' x 10' screened area (four posts and overhead roof to provide some shade) and a coffee table style of furniture that consists of two love seat type chairs and two armchairs. We went for the coffee table style since we realized we mostly just sit out there and relax rather then eat.
We also have a BBQ on the deck and two outdoor speakers attached to either end and connected to my stereo on the inside. We are also looking at getting a small bistro table set with a small table and two chairs for those odd times we do eat outside.

We also have a 14 X 22 deck. We have a set of 3 steps at either end. One way I changed the seating capacity and usefulness was by replacing the railing with seating. It has made a lot more room on the deck and the traffic flow around the deck is much better (also you need less chairs to move around and store). The seating Looks something like this (not exactly) http://www.artisticironworks.com/bench.html
You can get the brackets at Home Depot or at other hardware/lumber store.
