Help:

To make a very long story short.
My friend who is 60 has had a few bad years.
She had to wait almost a year to go on disability, since her doctor messed up the paper work. In that time she was laid off and only making $400.00 on a survivors pension.
In that year she owed to revenue canada about $800.00 because she cashed in all her RRSPS and worked for a few months.
It has been 2 years and interest is building up.
She cannot work and clears about $800.00 a month in which rent , hydro, telephone, still has to be paid.
I agreed to write a letter for her to try and get the money owed revoked.
I looked on the internet and found out how single parents can get some of it revoked. It could be I am using the wrong words while searching.
any one know anything that can help me help her.

Best bet is to have her visit a local CRA office and discuss the situation with them. If that's not feasible, calling their general enquiries line at 1 800 959-8281 is also an option. Be proactive.

Also, is it posible for her to have a doctor correctly process the disability form, then file an amended tax return with CRA for that year?

Thank-you both.
I would never have thought to look under fairness provisions.
As to her Doctor she is young and thinks she knows it all.

This is great idea it could certainly help her situation if the doctor signs her off.
