Audio Extracter

I need a free program (*any* free program) that will allow me to either:
1) extract audio from a saved youtube video.
2) extract audio from a converted youtube video to a desired format (need to video converter too then)

3) save audio directly from sound card.

Any help would be appreciated. Thx
